I am in love with HBO, not only have they put out Band of Brothers, Sopranos and Deadwood they have a comedian called Lewis Black doing shows that are awesome.

Another show that I like is "How I Met Your Mother". It has Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Houser), he is one funny mofo.

quote:
Hosted by Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, Celebrity Survivor pits eleven Australian and overseas identities against each other as they battle the elements in Vanuatu with little more than the clothes on their back.

Deprived of basic comforts, exposed to the harsh natural elements for 25 days and with their fate at the mercy of their fellow celebs, who will they become?

There will be two tribes - Moso and Kakula.

Each tribe will be made up from a split of the following celebrities: Justin Melvey, Imogen Bailey, Wayne Gardner, Nicolle Dickson, Guy Leech, Fiona Horne, Elton Flatley, Kym Johnson, Amber Petty, David Oldfield, and Gabrielle Richens.

The celebrities must also form a tribal council. At this meeting, each person places a secret ballot vote to send one fellow contestant home. Week by week, one by one, the tribe shrinks until at the end of the final episode, only two survivors remain. At that point, the seven most recently eliminated celebrities will return to form the final tribal council and decide who will be the final survivor.

The winner of Celebrity Survivor will have $100,000 donated to the charity of their choice. Every other contestant will have $5000 donated to their chosen charity.

The mix of people in the cast is what makes it such great entertainment, says Executive Producer David Mason. Everyone is an achiever, everyone is ambitious and no-one wants to lose. Combine that with desperation to survive and we strip away any star veneer they ever had.

The audience is going to love seeing celebrities do it so tough. When we were casting it, we told the celebrities we werent making any concessions for them but somehow they never believed us. Its only when they hit the beach for the first time they realised we werent lying we literally gave them nothing besides a flint, a machete and a cooking pot. How they survived with only that makes great television."

City of Men the series that follows two boys in the Brasilian Slums of Rio is on at 9:30 on Monday nights, my favorite show atm. if you like City of God, you will love this

5 Days in August a doco on the Israeli withdrawel from the occupied territories last night was great!

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Aug-29-2006 23:55:

can someone explain to me how jake wall is a celebrity and can appear on dancing on ice? does banging miss universe make you a celebrity? what amazes me is that she is contracted to another television station, its almost if channel 9 are promoting jennifer hawkins.

Posted by tathi on Aug-29-2006 23:59:

a more interesting question would be 'why is teflon watching dancing on ice?'

Jamie's Kitchen - Australia
7.30pm 8.30pm TEN
Thursday 14 September 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jamie Oliver and his good mate Tobie Puttock are opening the first Fifteen restaurant in Australia. To prove their conviction that it's a passion for food and not academic qualifications that makes a good cook, they are training a group of 16 to 24-year-old disadvantaged Australians. Come behind-the-scenes as we document their journey, capture the drama of selecting the site and the behind-the-scenes story that will culminate in the opening of Fifteen Melbourne.

what do you think of the current series of sg-1 on seven? i missed the first couple of episodes so don't know why certain people are missing. i get the idea they couldn't really let go so there is now this new all powerful enemy and the fight goes on...not 100% convinced...

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Sep-23-2006 03:31:

what season of stargate is it? there are lots of powerful enemies
