Thinking back now...I was really stupid to avoid those 2 rooms for ARMIN in the Guv.

And I'm not complaining about the talent coming in. I just don't get why everyone is going so apeshit about Blank & Jones and Marcus Schultz give me a fuckin break! I hated B&J even when I loved trance, cause these guys can't mix for shit, and get treated like trance pioneers because of Cream, and because PVD gives them lots of support. And Marcus Shultz...well, he's like the Pete Tong of the USA. Not that he doesn't have talent, but he's really lucky to have the oppurtunity that he does (running a radioshow in Miami, of all places). Whatever.

As for the lineup in the Guv. It's sick, but I still wouldn't go.

[/threadcrapping]

Does someone here sound JADED????

Maybe some people here LIKE B&J, and are hyped cuz most people missed their last TO appearance since it was a Wed. night, and it went down as one the best trance sets in TO. I've seen them 2ce, (loved them the 1st time, not so much the 2nd < & I was in the minority there) but I have no complaints about their mixing.

And what's the problem with running a radio show in Miami ("of all places")?? Miami is no Boise, Idaho- it is home to the WMC. Marcus's success is not based on 'luck'- it wasn't handed to him on a silver platter. I'm sure he worked damn hard to get where he is today.

Come on, Peter- to each his own.

Obviously some peoples tastes here are far more 'sophisticated' than the rest of ours, but no need for all the music snobs to crap on everyone else's parade.

This applies to all the whiners:
Don't like the lineup? or like it but still wont go? then stfu already & stay home.

infinity high: oh grow up man you sound as retarded as the highroller.

Both of you guys need some respect and a little pride. You do not always get what you want, the lineup is a huge draw for most people

Blank and jones might not have mixing but there tracklistings rock. There sets always have tons of energy. And they actually play epic trance, not the watered down shit in which every track sounds exactly the same which armin plays right now.

A lot of people still enjoy this you know. Its sad that you guys have got so jaded. Maybe its better for the scene if you do not attend cause you would just complain.

Marcus Schultz = wrong

Markus Schulz = right

true, just curious who will start the night, middle, and end. I hoping something like Decadance, say first act from 10-12, second from 12-2, and then Armin from 2-7?

so maybe like:

Blank & Jones 12-130
Grea Area 130-230
Marcus 230-4
Armin 4-close
???
there is a lot talent in that room, and its gonna be hard to make everybody happy with set times/lengths

Hey buddy, put your glasses on. I said it will take a lot more to get me excited. Did I say it's a crappy line up? No. It's a great line up. The DJs booked in the KH do nothing for me, but I'm sure a lot of other people are happy about it. I'm glad everyone is happy about the line-up, but since I'm going to be attending the party regardless of the line-up, I am going to express my dissapointment.

I'm sorry if being PORNO PACKED in the Guv watching DJs that are here way too often is dissapointing to me. Maybe if the DJs in the Guv were playing in the Kool Haus, I wouldn't be so dissapointed. Obviously though, considering how many people Armin & co. will draw, they have to put them in the KH.

Oh wait a second, I forgot: being anything short of a full blown Armin addict on this site is a cardinal sin. That must be why I "sound retarded". God forbid I say a line-up with Armin in it is boring.

interesting, I thought they would try and keep grey area in the Guv, along with similar sounds of Deep Dish, or Digweed. I thought Grey Area was more proggy than trance?

Im probably wrong though.

Posted by Pett on Jul-21-2005 21:01:

my dream kh timeslots would be

mark oliver 10 - 11:30
grayera 11:30 - 1
Markus Schulz 1-2:30
Armin 2:30-6:00
blank and jones 6:00 - 9:00

/not gonna happen

Posted by The Highroller on Jul-21-2005 21:08:

One thing that will really make me happier about this line-up is if they have DD playing until like 10am or something.

Ghrahm don't worry brother to each their own. You are more of a house head if anything. Obviously you are not to crazy about the line up. Look at the Bal en Blanc line up in Feb. When I told yo uthat i didn't go into the house room you didn't flip, because you knew that i am not really into house music. I would be pissed off to if they didn't have dj's at LOL that I wanted to see as well.

Posted by Muha on Jul-22-2005 14:22:

OMG, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, John Digweed an Marcus Schultz all playing in the same building in the same night... that's insane!

I got to get my ass moving an buy tickets, anyone know if they are sold out yet or are there plenty to go around?

Posted by AdReNaLiNa on Jul-22-2005 17:50:

this lineup is insane

I'm sooo thrilled we don't have to wait until October to see Armin again!
