Woo woo!

Awesome fucking night. Would have to say it was one of the most energetic parties I've been to in a long time. Brought out yet another friend for the first time and she has been converted. Yet another one bites the dust . Lots of coked out Asian happenings. Anyone catch that sick Asian girl plant her face in some tall blonde's cleavage? Was pretty funny.

Anyway, first time posting pics so be nice . I am getting better at taking em. Hellooooo burst mode.

http://public.fotki.com/cynicalex/above_and_beyond/

Nothing special, I was just glad I got me some frickin lasers .
Gotta remember to dance less and snap more.

Fayraree:

That track is Dido - Sand in my Shoes (Above and Beyond UV Mix???). I am guessing its that one. If not, its the Filterheadz Mix...

Yup. It was the UV Mix they played..

..But holy shit..

Did anyone catch that remix of 'Till There Was You' that Mark Oliver dropped right before they went on?

THAT was a tune and a half. Can't find any mention of other remixes other than the G&D set, Stephane K / John Creamer and some Pop Muzik Mashup.

Me wants that Baaaaaaaaaaaad.

You sure it wasn't the 12 step program? Sounded like it to me...

Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (Gabriel & Dresden's 12 Step Program)

And I know Mark played Perasma - Swing to Harmony, can't remember when, but if the two tracks were close enough to each other, he could have played this:

Rachael Starr Vs. Perasma - Till There Was Harmony Gabriel and Dresden Bootleg

Pretty sure it wasn't the 12 step program.. It's on Shaya's video though. SOMEONE'S gotta ID that sucker. haha

And yeah, now that I remember, he *did* play Swing 2 Harmony..

That, and Fred Baker's 'La Part Des Anges' too. Just dawned on me. I remembered telling myself how shitty a record it sounded like 'till I heard it in a club.

Alrightits been almost a week, and I guess I should post my review for this amazing weekend.

I arrived at the Guv with the regular crewShanny, Nikitha, Chadly84, Cereal3825, and a few othersand after getting 3 drunk assholes kicked out of the line (woo hoo 3 less to deal with inside) I walked in to pay my $20 cover (even though it was advertised as $15 after 12!!) just as Shivers came on! What an entrance! Glowstick buying, and bathroom breaks had to be taken care of, but I was getting antsy b/c it was already 12:30 and I had missed the beginning of the TA meetup, so I ran ahead of my friends to see everyone. I was so excited to see all the TAs, I just started jumping on people.

It was great to see the long list of regularsCale (so glad you made it, even though you had to leave), Jamie (you're lucky I'm such a nice girl for taking care of your ass all night...haha j/k), Dan, Fahad (we got our pic!), Frankie, Jay, Lars (the coolest girl ever), Katy, Karim, Spyder, Jenn, Pat, Mike (didnt even recognize you at first, but atleast this time it wasnt just a hello/goodbye), walkindude, Nada (I cant get over how much I love your energy girl), Illya (I told you Tiesto wouldnt be our last party!), Pett (you remember me!), Linzie, Sean, Cam (my picture lifesaver), Nat, endlesswave, cono_sur and of course Andrea (how many times did I tell you I love the way you dance? Haha Good ear on Darkside of the MoonI cant believe we almost missed that!)

It was also great to meet so many other TAsTrancee, Trancegrooves, Tiesto4Life (finally!), Trickdadde (thanks for taking the pics), Tordan (great to meet you!), Angelina, Jer (I smell TA!), MaxTO, the_broad, Irishaddict (youre even cuter in person), Danielle, Baki, Khoa, vickyvale, gek0, Liamany more Im sorry! And awishabearyou saw me but didnt say hello? Whats with that?! I dont want that to happen again!

Anywayenough with the shout-outssorry if I forgot anyonethere were too many ppl there, I didnt know what to do with myself.
As for the set itselfA&B blew me the fuck away. I knew theyd be good, but holy crap! Im not even going to begin listing tracks I loved, b/c theres WAY too many of them. Mark Oliver continued to rape me after that. That was the best I had ever heard him. Hands downthe most solid set Ive heard all summer! I cant believe how much fun I had dancing. I was just watching a video from the nightand it almost brought me to tears, I wish I could go back. I know it probably wasnt, but if that set was recordednothing will stop me until I found it.

The energy was great, the people were great, the music was phenomenal, the liquid nitrogen cannons were amazingjust superb. In the words of RJ, that was top-notch!!

Honestly, I think that this was probably one of the best weekends of the entire summer for me. Thanks for everything guyscant wait to see you at Labour of Love!

WOULD I NOW, PETT!!?!>!?!

LOL, ya, I remember discussing this with you at some point over the weekend.

My *Mark Oliver moment* of the weekend is still when he overlapped the vocals from Madonna's 'What It Feels Like for a Girl' over top of A&B - No One on Earth!

Holy shit was that surprising and mind-blowing!!!

I was on stage at the time and just went INSANE!!!!

Mark is a freakin' GOD on the decks!

jem.

I could swear it was A&B that played No One On Earth, not Mark. Since, it is their song and everything.

It was played twice...once by each.

SHIT!

I think you are right, I was just thinking that Mark dropped it again and did the vocal overlay with it...

but thinking back, I was on stag, and I think I was off the stag by the time MO came on..........

Okay, thats it, we need a 3rd (or 4th) party confirmation since my memory sucks so bad... who did work of art? Mark O or A&B??

Here's how it worked:

Around 3 AM me and my friend were getting exhausted so we went upstairs to Skybar to chill a little bit. A&B was still playing. While there, No One On Earth started playing and I was kicking myself for not being on the dance floor and missing it, until I was able to justify it that I didn't like the "For A Girl" overlap.

Oh I thought you guys were just talking about who played the song. There goes me...skimming through posts and not really reading them again...dammit!
