=D

Some really big names had some really big drops in ranking (Burridge, Max Graham, Satoshi, J00F, Johan Gielen, Andy C, Adam Beyer). Even Sander dropping from 12 to 20 is pretty big fall

Good to see Halliwell move up a bit more. I'm sure some of you guys loved seeing Hawtin rise so much.

After all the things he's done for trance music.
Shame....

Shuttup, plump djs are mint. Just goes to show the state of this poll when people disrespect djs because of their name and not the music they play and their technical ability.

REALLY good to see Richie Hawtin move so far up

WIKKID 2 see new entries in Chus & Ceballos,
David Guetta, and Ricardo Villalobos.

Fuckin HURTS to see my man Sander K. drop to #20

Thank God Oak is FINALLY outta the top 10, and Christopher Lawrence
being replaced by Digweed higher on the list.

it's neither fake nor fickle. it's about global popularity & who exactly is voting.

if it was fake the results would be fabricated or wrong. and seeing as tiesto has had huge success with TIC following his previous #1s it would be hard to disagree, even in spite of him not producing his own tunes and arguably poor mixing.

it is only as fickle as the voters are, there is not constant change as the top 10 is fairly consistent and the only great movements are made due to greater exposure or otherwise furthur down the chart.

by exposing mikey to the top 250 (fingers crossed) it shows that the system is flawed in such a way that anybody with no real credentials in regard to a dj chart appearance (sorry mikey lol) can make it there.

it is a direct form of voting, and those who are influenced by which ever dj vote that way... whether it be clueless individuals who have never seen the dj live or whether it be die hard fans, that's the way the system works. the advertising is very similar to political broadcasts in the uk as you are fully aware ian, and as certain factions gain support in certain areas it can be illustrated in relation to others.

if mikey has indeed make the top 250 it does show that TA has the potential to skew the vote and create a bit of ruckus in the process i'm all for that. i hope he gets a few gigs from it too! but until a "fairer" (and i use that term loosely) voting system can be established, this expolitation can happen.

and if the voting populous deem pvd to be #1, that is the way it goes
