i ordered the kings of soul remix of 5050 by lemar from these people. it never said on the site it was sold out. but they called me a week or so later saying in fact they didnt have any copies.

they are eviL! they advertise stuff on the site that they dont have! avoid like the plague

from what I've heard DMF & HTFR are owned by the same people, they are both as bad as one another thats for sure...

Posted by klappa on Feb-07-2005 12:17:

lol........

Im laughing my bollocks off when reading all the troubles u guys have.
As i see it it seems almost all here buying from the big boys htfr, juno, chemical and etc. Big playas usually means they have utterly crap because everyone knows about them and buy there so that's why you can't find any classics whatsoever or records older than maybe a month at least. I say 99.5% of the records they have is craaaaaapppp. And to those complaining about shipmenttime it's not them but the postman

Some of the record stores take many days before they ship out your order, some use poor carriers to ship your order, some charge way more for shipping than it actually costs to ship the item. So the record store does have some control over the speed of delivery.

Hey Simcut,
I totally agree, I had exactly the same problem with dance music finder. Advertised one album, sent me another then tried to blame me for it! They wouldn't give me mopney back and to his day still owe me £20! Phoned up loadsa times, they hung up on me once, other times go away to serve people and come back 5 minutes later!

On the other hand, abovethesky.com and juno.co.uk are superb.

Posted by Kev Boy on Feb-25-2005 11:34:

I dunno how they get away with it. They owe me £20 and i have a cats chance in hell of getting it!
Luckily thats the only time I've had a bad experience tho

Just want to drop a post about service from Saikosounds.com

They are very good, THey have by far the best packaging than any other online store I've used(A big square box, and they bubble wrap the vinyls, also the vinyls have a dust sleeve) order gets here very fast 4-5 days, and they send you a bunch of stickers and flyers (not that they flyers mean anything to me... I am not in those countries) They also have exellent soundclips, so you know exactly what you are buying.

Only prob, shipping is abit steep, but the vinyls are quite inexpensive.

Posted by Gunyouken on Mar-08-2005 20:20:

Has anyone ever bought anything from www.Trance-shop.com??? are they reliable?

Posted by DJ_LG on Mar-10-2005 09:31:

I buy from Juno and so does on of my mates and we've had no dramas. Their prices are cheaper than to buy from our local record store in Sydney but when you add shipping it's the same. BUT it's more than an hour journey into the stores in the city so really I'm saving money on fuel.
Also the store I use to go into in town has started their own online store. So if I have any dramas with their online orders they know me(I've been buy from there for five years) and I know them so they won't screw you around.

Posted by UnBracKo on Apr-05-2005 17:20:

I buy from Juno or in my local store.
Juno is good, they have all the new releases but if you are trying to find a rare or old vinyl then it's more difficult.

And about Juno I must say I've only got one problem. In my last order they changed one item for other, and now the vinyl I ordered it's out of stock. They said me so quickly I got a store credit of 8.50 pounds and I don't need to return the fault item. good response by them.

i warn you from replayrecords

I recently ordered a bunch of 28 records from www.replayrecords.com.
Those fucks shipped almost only whitelabels and some they also replaced the original sleeves with some black ones. I even got completely different records then i ordered. The description on their site is missleading as hell. It didn't say promos nor whitelabels of them i ordered. They are the worst secondhand recordstore i ever come across as they also ignoring you when u want to send the wrong records back. What can i do?

Anyone been burned by abovethesky lately?

Ordered about 10 records from them 2 weeks ago. Their site says that it'll be dispatched the day they get your order and that you should get the records within 48 hours. They hadn't even dispatched on friday so I rung them up and they said they'll dispatch asap and to call on monday when they would give me a tracking number. So this morning I call up at around 10:00, no reply. Just tried again now (17:00) and it's giving me that "The number you have dialed can not be recognised. Please check and dial again" bollocks! Don't know what is going on, but that's probably not a good thing.

Guess I'm gonna have to call up my debit card guys and get them to revoke the payment.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE CHEAP FOR A REASON!

*annoyed* *

The Best store is tuneinn.com www.tuneinn.com

They specialise in only trance, techno & house and have won many awards including the uk's best independent record shop

All the stock on the site is actually in stock and is what you will get

highly highly recommended

Yeah they are well known and have been around for a long time. I have never heard any problems and have no complaints myself. They have the lowest prices of any online store that i have seen.
