how much r the plane tickets to Canada from NY/NJ area ?

gas is so expensive these days, specially when u r required to fill up your tank with supreme.

Posted by EliPsE on Jul-28-2006 17:45:

like 300 and up

damn what kind of car do you have? Well if you ride 4 ppl and split it, shouldn't be that bad. Last time we took a BMW and it came out to like 40 per person for gas roundtrip. and tolls where only about $6

Yeah Kenny used Super/Supreme also -- BMWs aren't known to be gas efficient either (mannn im the type that uses Special or w/e the middle grade is called) and we had the A/C blasting the entire time as well...yeah we went the 80/81 route, i think its probably the most efficient way up there (thank you robdawg)

well either way, its *nowhere* near $300 per person to drive up. rofl.

Red face

ugh i don't feel like doing any planning...ive already done so much over the course of this year its making me dizzy

well if i WAS going to go to LOL, i *would* buy tickets today, and not WAIT till they go up to $56. not let a week go by...a month go by...i usually start getting antsy -- and *angry* esp im waitin on others to get tickets...

after the first few days have gone by, knowin that the price will go up asap. jesus now why the f*ck would anyone procrastinate?!!! why would someone NOT want to SAVE money, it doesn't mean sense at ALL and it just makes my blood boil

Pfff I can vouche for that. I drove up from WINDSOR (4 hours farther than Toronto) with one other person for probably $150 each.

Posted by BuffaloJared on Jul-28-2006 18:23:

LOL will be here in no time, it has been a hole year for me of going to bad florida clubs, I can not wait.. I miss T.O so much

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jul-28-2006 18:31:

Yeah my plane tickets were $148 one way....and that was by FAR the cheapest I found...that was also 3 weeks ago....I am sure by now one would pay around $400 for a plane ticket round trip Hurry up and makes plans people...stalling will only cost you money and make ME more anxious!! LOL

Posted by Marcin777 on Jul-28-2006 22:22:

we should make an official list of who's going (driving, not flying)from NY/NJ area for LOL.

anybody looked up hotel prices ?

how is Westin Harbor Castle ? apparently its right by Guv (179CAD per-night) anything cheaper there ?

yeah throughout the thread, ppl have stated whetehr they are driving up or not -- not many drivers this time around...

Westin is 4star, supposed to be really NIIICE

f*ck full priced hotels...I would totally priceline/hotwire that, i am NEVER gonna settle for paying FULL price ever again...esp from the prices that ive seen other ppl get them at on betterbidding.com...there are only so many 3 and 4 star horels in downtown Toronto so it wouldn't be that hard to get something at least acceptable (oh and btw Ramada was only a 2star on priceline's list)

hey if ur down to drive up... im sure you'll be able to find ppl to go up with you.(this is including myself and phoenixbebe).

so lets get this started... we already know how much is gonna cost rt with gas and tolls for 4 ppl in the car.

as for hotels, we've been searchin, its just the matter of how many ppl to a room. Of course, the more ppl in the room, the cheaper it is. So lets us know if your down and we'll continue from there.

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Jul-28-2006 23:01:

4 to a standard double is sufficient (double queens or king bed type)

only thing is, they need a credit card to book the room but im so confident i can get a cheap rate that I'd use mine...

Renaissance Hotel Rogers Centre $175+
Radisson Plaza Hotel Admiral Harbourfront $175
Delta Chelsea $160
Courtyard Marriott is roughly $140 per night
Novotel is roughly $160+

don't go below 3 stars -- *NOT* advisable

fyi...the ticketmaster site is kinda fucked up. One time i go on the site..it say the tickets are $56 and just a min. ago i go back on, and it's $45. The site is acting kind of weird.

Westin Harbour is a nice place. A bit pricer, but nice. If you want to go cheap...there's lots of places you can go that are close by and suffecient.

Also...as with ticket master. I bought mine before noon at $47 (all fees incl). It would say $56 but then when I paid it was cheaper.

Cale however bought his 30 mins. before me and it was 10 bucks more! So I called ticket master to see what was wrong, and they said there were 3 prices...$41, $45 and $56 ($41 being the early bird ones)...they must have put some more early bird ones up after Cale bought his. So she said that she would refund him the 10 bucks as long as there were more early birds left. It fluctuates b/c they keep putting more tickets up, so it depends on what's available at the time you purchase. I found you could only select one price $56...and then it would just come back with the cheapest one if you selected "best available" for seating.

grew up in alexandria - went to high school in dc, am home for the summer and making the drive with a bunch of friends from the mid atlantic area. That's a dedication to partying - Booya, NYTAs, booya! As far as hotels, we booked the holiday inn near the guv (through orbitz) 45 a night per person - for two nights (4 people in a room). 90 for two nights in a hotel is really not that bad - all in all I think with tickets, driving, supplies - it's like 300 bucks. A lot of labour - for a lot of love! haha.
