So I went to my first shift....

- Old men hit on me
- Got told about the "woman who you can smell coming" aka the boss who wears far too much perfume
- Was told that for my training shifts, AND my very first shift, I DON'T GET PAID!!! WTF?? Is that even legal?
- Rushed around like a mad woman
- Found out that there are about 8 other Theresa's working there

Yea, it was a little hectic. I didn't get to learn a whole lot because we were too busy rushing around to actually focus on anything.

Yup.

Well my goal is to save so that I can take a position overseas.

I wish to do that within the next 6 months, so anything extra will be going into the bank.

I'm not allowed to do that

LMAO!!

It's a really wide ranged demographic. Older people, younger people, middle aged, barely legal, kids.

It's attached to a bar that is above, so all the hungry drunks come too.

Hmmm, this should be an interesting job either way.

Rushing is all good, especially on your first shift. You now know a bunch of stuff you didn't before (more than you would have known if it had been slow), and if it's consistantly busy....YOUR SHIFTS GO SO MUCH QUICKER!

And busy = tips
