WOW!!!!
that is all...
he picked it up near the end
WHAT A NIGHT!
I couldn't belive shiu put out so well and upbeat!
I'm used to him boring the shit outta me everytime
at lotus with that deep dark prog stuff..
This was the a totally different shiu tonite, it
was upbeat and bangin' uplifting kinda prog..
I loved every minute of it, amazing stuff.
The whole night kept a really good upbeat rhythm.
This was exactly what I was looking for, faster upbeat
tempo that ownz and makes you dance!
Bottom line is I was never a sasha nor a shiu fan
but decided to come out and do this night to have
that experiance and it was all worth it.
If the oppertunity comes up again, I will be there again.
ughgh .. it's 4am, I'm banged up and tired ..
It's been some time since I hit up a dancefloor
like that. ALberto man, we ripped that dancefloor to
shreds. Great meeting Fred, Amanda, this other dude, and
a Trish and ..... some random people .. pavlo ..
Good seeing mark and joe again as well ..cheers.
Props to blueprint for not overselling the
place and selling out like greedy pigs.
I like that celebrity venue, good layout with great sound.

Here are the boys, from right to left, Shampoo (me), Xtr3m, Krysx25.

That's all I got. Again it was nice to finnally meet some more Van TA's. I had a wikked time lastnight.
Guess you can't relive the past. Back in 98/99 Sasha actually DID bang it out. Last night was all right but nothing spectacular. The mixing cannot be commented on because he doesn't really mix anymore and he finally did start playing some bigger tracks with thicker basslines n riffs for the last 30mins.... and then it ended.
It was a bit too much fluff and started off really slow. Felt like he was building for a 6hr set instead of a 2.5hr set.
The event itself was organized really well and nobody had to wait long. Good job with that!
It was a pretty good night, although Sasha was glued to his iMac the whole time which wasn't that much exciting. Oh, well, that's Alexander we all know. I don't think that he played any classics...
The highlight of the night was Kevin playing Martin Brothers - Stoopit. It's the second time I heard him play that and it's always a bomb!
The club and the promoters did a great job of having just enough security that wasn't interfering with the party crowd.
Krys and Anthony were tearing the place apart and Jules was cool as usual.
(Again, some photos might be courtesy of Ksenia)
I had a good time!! Sasha isnt really my kind of music though, but i decided to come out anyways, because he's still a lengend!!!
does anyone else's camera suck at taking pictures?? my flash just reflects off the fog, and the no-flash doesnt do any good..
oh, i also got my copys of GU: 013, and Xpander EP signed !!
nice to meet some TAs, look forward to partying with you guys again!

What a really nice way to end the year. I got there at about 10:30, and really wasn't diggin Kevin's set. Very linear with no progression, but he got into this dark techy stuff that I liked, this one track with this whale type echo was nice. The highlight track from him was "Antena - Camino Del Sol (Joakim Remix)". I knew I heard the track somewhere but I couldn't put my finger on it, until right now. It's actually going to be on John Digweed's second Transitions CD due out in late January. It was really nice to hear it played out live.
Sasha finally came out and he started with a very nice minimal tech vibe which I liked but others I guess considered too slow. I was actually really getting into his set as it was building up until his abelton/maven setup crashed on him. I think it ruined things a little cuz it he had to start the buildup all over again just as people were getting into his set.
Overall, he played a really nice set that I enjoyed. He finally picked things up at the end and I was enjoying it, couldn't believe it was all over so fast. The highlight was when he was playing "Restore" and then mixed it into "Transparenza" and let it play, went off the decks for some reason, came back and mixed it right back into "Restore" again.
Tracks that I remembered he played that night:
Moby feat. Deborah Harry - New York New York (Radio Slave 'Not Long Now' Remix)
Dirk Technic - I Love You (Mugwump Sonic Race Devastversion)
16 Bit Lolitas - Destiny
Kid Creme - The Game (Kid Voodoo Dub)
Jim Rivers - Restore
Michael Mayer & Reinhard Voigt - Transparenza
Pryda - Remember
Plastik - Plastik (Alex Dolby Remix)
I heard a few others I know but I can't really remember them now.
did anybody see what happen when this girl gave sasha "something" and sasha look at it with a disgusted face and he put "it" down. anybody know what it was that she gave to him?
it was a tiesto cd, i was behind taking photos
serious?
Haha, there's a photo I have from last of Sasha being handed a flyer, and he looks disgusted by it.
I'll upload my photos, videos, and write a better review in a bit.

i saw some one with a video camera there...anyone know who was recording...or if a audio recording was made?
I asked the guy and he said that the video should be posted on clubzone.com in a few weeks.
They always film big events but I've never been able to find anything afterwards.
Mark are you sure he said clubzone because Blueprint post videos of their shows on their website.
You're probably right. I only remember the guy saying three things: Clubzone, Blueprint, and DVD.
