he seems to be trying to hit himself in, like gilchrist

good quote on this morning from cricinfo website

quote:
My word this is utterly exciting cricket. I feel like Henry Blofeld at a pigeon sanctuary.

game over

Posted by Ian on Dec-18-2006 03:56:

we have ian healy creaming himself in the sky sports commentary box winding nasser hussain up, brilliant.

Posted by Ian on Dec-18-2006 04:03:

goodbye geraint jones. lets hope you never bat again for england.

Posted by Dean Millson on Dec-18-2006 04:06:

that there was the moment the ashes was lost by England imo.

Posted by Sid on Dec-18-2006 04:08:

bwahahahahahaha Jones. What a way to get a pair!

Posted by Ian on Dec-18-2006 04:17:

makes up for his lack of a pair down below. If read isn't picked next match, i'll hug gumble. or something equally as embarassing

Posted by Simon00 on Dec-18-2006 04:22:

Oh dear how nice is this..

Posted by Ian on Dec-18-2006 04:23:

bad decision there. You know why? They haven't showed the full hawkeye. That's when you know they're wrong (parental umpire) as the umpires complained that they'd be made to look bad.

Posted by Simon00 on Dec-18-2006 04:24:

Does Australia have the liquid lunch?

Posted by Ian on Dec-18-2006 04:29:

fine for me if we're only 9 down. pull an inzi on us not going to stay up to see it though, half past 4 is painful enough anyway for my bodyclock

Posted by xtractorfan on Dec-18-2006 23:31:

Thumbs up

well that silly looking little urn is back in australian hands but somehow i dont think it will be another decade or more before we are forced to hand it over once again. some facsinating cricket has been played in this series and cant wait to see whats in store for melbourne and sydney!

Posted by Philby on Dec-20-2006 12:30:

fucking brilliant
i missed the action cause i was away but hell yeah come on warney! i'm gonna be so sad when he retires though he's a hero

Posted by Ian on Dec-21-2006 13:15:

warne to retire after sydney is official. McGrath is expected to not be too long after. Harmison retires from ODIs (not that that's a bad thing )

Posted by Ian on Dec-24-2006 21:52:

ok then. which bastards have MCG tickets

Posted by Philby on Dec-27-2006 13:12:

i haven't paid my mcc membership yet and am working all this week
oh well next year haha

oh yeah

fucking warney baby!!!!! he's a fucking hero

Posted by AnitA on Dec-28-2006 00:27:

I will be so happy once cricket is over!

Flintoff is the only decent one worth watching

Posted by PauLie_C on Dec-28-2006 02:12:

im still feeling the effects of day 1 my poor head, what a farkin awesome day though, when warnie got his 700th, that moment was priceless!!!!

Posted by Philby on Dec-28-2006 09:42:

well that takes care of another one! 4-zip!! whatever people want to say about the "dad's army" side, they've showed how good they are this series, every time england has looked like they are in a strong position and can take the game australia comes back

Posted by Ian on Dec-28-2006 13:16:

we're screwed & have been for the whole tour, due to a lack of decent preparation (damn that fucking icc trophy when we should've been down in aus playing state teams) poor management, poor play & some rotten luck, like koertzen's lack of lbw decisions for definite aus wickets, hayden 3 times but then he gives one on bell which was less out than the other 3 combined, fucking south african git.

Ah well, onto sydney & then 1 day humiliation

Posted by Trance Nutter on Dec-28-2006 13:23:

Rudi missed several on both sides.

there was an absolute plumb one today, halfway up middle, can't remember who it was that wasn't given and at least one other one just today that should have been given (and in fairness one that wasn't given that shouldn't have been given but was bloody close - good decision that). Its about 50-50 the lbw's he's missed this test to be fair.

You could get up in Sydney, it seems to happen a fair bit, dead rubber and all.

Good stat of today -
In 2006 calender year Australia has played 10 tests and won 10 tests, no losses no draws. Doesn't matter 2 of those were against the Bangers, thats still a great record.

I will also admit i was wrong. At the start of the series I made the comment although Clark had my support as the 3rd seamer I made the comment that I didn't think he was 'there' yet. Yeah, he's gonne be the nexus of our fast battery in the next few years, he's exceeded I think everyone's expectations.

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-28-2006 13:35:

those stats wont be so good after mcgrath, warne, gilchrist, langer and hayden retire

Posted by wick on Dec-29-2006 12:51:

This just goes to show that the last Ashes was one of sports great anomalies ...
like when Liverpool beat AC Milan in the Champions League final
or when the aussie selectors decided that Hussey should wait 10 years for a crack, but Shane Watson should get 50+ ODI's without doing anything ... then be considered as a test match no. 6 ...

sorry Ian, but no matter what excuses you make up, the english cricket team are chokers or just extremely shit. i mean, cmon you couldn't even make the aussies first innings total with 20 wickets? don't go on about lbw's not given out because that goes both ways.

all in good fun mate :P
