That was a NASTY crash by Kubica, i mean, it makes the race more interesting seeing occasional little crashes but not shit like that
. He's got a broken leg so will surely be out for a long time.
Lewis was flawless in that race even with the headache of 4 restarts, it would be impossible for anyone to do better.
I dunno why but i enjoy it when Ferrari doesnt make the podium
and LOL @ Sato passing Alfonso, gold.
Overall an eventful race, a bit too eventful, i wonder how many safety car laps were clocked up - must have been a good few.
damn, I missed an evenful race. I switched on my Sopcast only to see the post race interview of Hamilton.
And on the note of crashes, here's a vid compilation i found of F1 crashes with some random EDM chucked in
There's been some crazy pile ups/crashes in the past
the one in spa was the most expensive crash in F1 history
some serious bucks smashes against the belgian walls that time
Awesome crashses
Quite a few must have been deadly for the drivers, no doubt. I remember seeing a few spectacular crashes when I was a sucker for F1. One was in the Australian GP when Ralf crashed badly on the first turn at the start. I remember another messy Brazilian GP when it was raining hard and quite a few cars lost it. Fisichella was the unlikely winner in that GP, grabbing his maiden win.
I expected that Mclaren at some point during the season would be faster than Ferrari since all the key players such as Brawn and Byrne left Ferrari, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon.
This weekend Hamilton has shown how amazing he is. He's never driven on this track and yet he had a flawless qualifing and race unlike the more experienced drivers out there. It's pretty clear imo that he is the best driver out there after Alonso. Noway Massa or Raikonnen ( dare I even say MS ) would be so close to Alonso driving in the same car under equal status, since Alonso beat those guys in his slower Renault. Hamilton has what it takes imo to beat Alonso. He might not be the fastest of the two, but he's better at gathering points and not making mistakes. He's only 1/10 of a second slower than Alonso which might be overcome during the season after more experience and confidence gained. But let's not forget he's just a rookie and Alonso is the king of F1 currently, it's like David vs Goliath.
Anyway, driver of the race for me is Sato. Overtaking Raikonnen and Alonso in his outdated Honda from 2006 was priceless
Sato was extremely good during BAR/Honda glory days. He could have won a couple of GP's but he allways took too many risks.
Now he seems to be more controlled than he was back then, would be nice to see what he now can do again in a top team. I remember a race at Nurburgring were Barichello in his ferrari was leading the race and Sato 2nd, but Sato kept attacking Rubens even though Rubens needed to make an other pitstop. Sato damaged his car trying to overtake Rubens, so Rubens ended up winning the race. Rubens even said in the press confrence that if Sato just controlled himself and just waited untill Rubens went into the pits, he would have won. It's good to see him doing well again after many people have written him off after Honda fired him.
Such an eventful race, I enjoyed it throughly up till Robert's crash. I was really depressed until the first good news came in.
The latest news on Kubica is even better; apparently his legs are fine, and he will be released from hospital tomorrow
Great sucess for Lewis and Nick, for whom i am very happy for.
How about naming that first corner 'Alonso corner' ?
That was a huge crash.

i think McLaren dominate this weekend
and Alonso will be the winner on sunday!
my suggestion for Indy:
1. Alonso
2. Hamilton
3. Heidfeld
4. Massa
5. Kovalainen
6. Coulthard
7. Rosberg
8. Button
nobody believes in Kimi anymore ?
I was actually hoping for kimi to do really well this year since he had a reliable ferrari under him but he's been really disappointing, he's not had any stunning drives so far - just pretty average. Also, he sometimes comes across as an ass on tv, never does interviews, always looks bored, etc.

He had a prob with the engine once, made a mistake in monaco and last gp both ferraris were just lacking pace, no matter how difficult i find it to say that ![]() I'm still confident though. He's one of the most talented drivers out there. Havent started to really like him though. Still miss schumi coming victoriously out of that shiney red ferrari hugging JT & RB. |
Hehe, jep
He was always able to perform right when he had too
few fast laps and just coming in front on the pitch
JT & RB are masterminds but you still need a pilot who is capable to do it on the pitch
those were the days

Which US station is carrying the race?
SpeedTV isnt, and TSN in Canada is not either.
Does ABC have the rights?
