So anybody have first hand knowledge or info from somebody that's seen the beaches in Ibiza ? How affected were the Talamanca and Figueretas beaches ? Of course I read the news report, but that doesn't really give me the full 411.
Still tring to decide on the hotel.

Parties:
Sept 6: Steve Lawler, Eric Prydz at Pacha (it was on his website)
Sept 7-8: ????
Sept 9: Space - We love Sundays
Sept 10: DC10 and Cocoon
Sept 11: Carl Cox closing party ?

i spent nearly every single day on the beach, took a nap in the evenings, dinner late then clubbing. if you truly want to see beautiful beaches, you need to rent a car, which you can do for about 30 Euros/day. you also need to buy a good map that tells you where there are beaches you can go to. you can get these at any convenience store on the island. hint: dont even go to any beaches in or in the near vicinity of san antonio..

GO HERE: http://www.ibiza4all.org/beaches/ibiza/map_sanjoseph2.gif
(i would post the pic but the names of the beaches are black so they are camouflaged with the black TA background

cala d'albarca is my FAVE, north of the island (all boulders, you have to walk 45 minutes down a rock path on the side of a cliff to reach the beach.. WORTH IT!!!)
cala san vicente
la salinas
sa caleta
cala vadella
cala d'hort

^ just some of the places we went. each beach is so different (some are sand, others pebbles, other boulders) some have shops, some are secluded, some are nude, some are topless, some have lounge chairs, some have jelly fish, etc etc.

happy trails!!

oh yeah....talamanca was fine. can't tell you about figueretas.

skip pacha, it was too hot, too crowded, and generally sucked (went to morillo on wed night); Much hotter than any night at pacha nyc. One more thing, it may be a good idea to take a few nights off. you will be way too tired with that schedule.

I'm skipping the Prydz/Lawler show because Pacha in Ibiza blows... going to Amnesia to see Chris Lake/Angello with PVD... Lake is on FIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEE. Amnesia is super sick as well...

totally agree, you need to get mobile, its the best part of the entire vaca.

you're a trooper if you can keep that schedule. there was no way i could get on the beaches after getting in at 9am. although sleeping on the beach is probably better than sleeping on any bed on that island. (the hotels blow, unless you're willing to pay out the ass).

30 euro a day is definitely on the low end. it was more like 50 a day if they even had a car. all the places were booked. renting a scooter is pretty cool. give it a shot.

our car was sweet, i have to say. brand new Peugeot 5 seater. we rented it from a local place in san an, not from the airport, so maybe that's why it was cheap.

ibiza2007

gettin to ibiza in almost 2 weeks ...can't wait to relax in the white island. staying in San Antonio, just so I don't have to walk to see the sunset at mambo cafe.

how is borabora? been there the last 3 years and thinking on going again? worth it?

never been in spain in the middle of september. how's the weather usually around that time of year?

I LOVE the weather in September! Not too hot and nice cool nights. God I can't wait to get back! I agree that Bora Bora is always worth it. I'm staying at JET, though, so I am biased. lol

When will you be there in September? I am there 9/19-10/2.

BTW, you need to watch the SUNRISE from Bora Bora. In my opinion it is more beautiful than the Sunset @ Mambo

Bossa Mar is where I am staying also, same place I stayed in '05. It is directly behind Bora Bora; just a stone's throw away, literally. LOVE THAT PLACE!

and DAMN DAMN DAMN I really wish I had spoken with you guys! But, I was hell bent on seeing Sander K @ Pacha and I wanted to check out the Cocoon closing party. And Danny Tenaglia also.

Maybe you guys will love it so much that you will stay an extra couple of weeks
