but doesn't that mean that it's free from 9 p.m. Friday night to 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning?

parking is a bitch in MTL from my experience, that is why we specifically booked at a hotel which offers in and out parking or you'd be broke!

Flying is better than driving to Montreal, but in my opinion Via is the best way to go. Don't have to get out to Pearson and you get dropped off right downtown. That alone saves you about $40 in cab fare each way. Train takes from 4hours to 5 1/2 depending on the number of stops, but with the amount of time you have to be at the airport and the cab fare its just easier.

VIA FTW!!!

Graham and I will walk to Union from my place. Let me know how long it takes you to get from your place to the airport, the wait there, the flight, the cab downtown. If you and less than the 4 hours and 45 minutes I owe you a couple drinks at S&D.

the sunday morning I went to sundance I made it there in just over 4 hrs (from etobicoke)

I wouldnt do that again though. The last 2 times I went up to montreal I flew too but I dont know if its worth it as much anymore (going to airport, checking in waiting for flight, cabs etc)

hmmmmmmmmm

Posted by malek on Dec-21-2007 19:22:

driving takes me 4h15, beat that

2) I live 22mins from airport
3) u gunna owe me some pintz bitch
4) pop bottles
5) flirt with the hood rats
6) pop models

don't forget, no Pearson/Trudeau airport cavity searches at Coach Canada

I think that's the best deal, $22 return, no one has to do the sketch drive back and no waits for luggage, ticket, security check, etc. Bus is safer than driving your own car in this kind of weather.

Plane/shuttle/cab gonna cost you $240 just to save you maybe two hours at most? Greyhound is not bad if you book week in advance or so and I'm not sure about the train. I wouldn't drive sketch in this weather though...

I've been downtown Montreal to my house downtown Toronto in just over 3 hours flying AC.

You lose.

Yes it can be that fast, but it can also be 7+ hours. If the weather is bad it can be even worse.

It is faster, no question. But just more of a hassle I find. Flying Porter from the Island is much better than having to go to Pearson - from where I live downtown. Getting to Pearson on a Friday if there is any bad weather can take 1 hour (like it did for me a couple weeks ago).

I guess I also like the fact that the party starts on the train. the 45 minute flight is too short to enjoy a few pops.

Either way VIA or Flying is much better than driving.
