Prefer the daft punk version better haha but man i was hoping they would be at ultra. Not a fan of underworld. Wish daft punk made it to friday night as a massive name on phase 3. Has anyone seen the dvd - its amazing. DaftPunk ftw at ultra on friday!!!

ridiculous pricing for bottle service/tables is normal for tiesto and during wmc, in general. tiesto tickets were $75 for presales two conferences ago...kinda surprised they're not higher.

One thing that sucks about miami...
The service...for all you noobs be prepared to wait for your drinks as the bartenders in miami suck.
i've found that's its usually better to stick with one bartender and tip her/him good. a lot of times i've gotten free drinks out of it. If you take care of them, they will take care of you. That being said don't expect great service if your not tipping or barely tipping at all. Yeah it's kinda stupid, but money talks I guess. I know i'm putting aside some money just for random shit like that cuz i'd rather spend a little extra on good service and gets my drinks in a reasonable time. Plus the flask and pre-gaming should help 
Considering the massive swarm around the bars during WMC, the bartenders do a fine job IMO. The drink prices are worth bitching about, but that is another thread. I paid $9 for SKOL and sprite this Saturday @ Space, and thats not even during the conference.

Subject: Ryan B's Guide to Winter Music Conference Popularity
my new yorkers and those from florida whoare use to us will especially get this
-1)Stop going to clubs in NY/NJ after New Years Eve this way you can start to save money and brain cells in preparation for WMC 3 months later.
-2)Start taking steroids-preferably 3 or more different kinds at once. 1 to make you big, 1 to cut you up and throw another one in there just for shits and giggles. Go to the gym everyday and drink a protein shake with every meal.
-3)Make an appointment with your barber hairstylist 2 months in advance for the day you leave, this way your mohawk will be at peak performance and the designs in the side of your head will be fresh for your arrival to FL.
-4) Go tanning right after you leave from getting your haircut. This way u will have started a base tan and u will only start to peel like the 3rd day in Miami, not the 1st or 2nd. You also want to tan the skin that showing from the new designs in your haircut so its not pasty white.
-5) Get a new tattoo in a random spot on your body that will look cool for the WMC but will look even stupider when your on the beach with your kids and grandkids in like 50 years. The best places for this would be the belly button, ribs, forearms and across your chest.
-6)Go shopping and buy all the t-shirts with skull designs and bleachings on them. Make sure you buy the one you think that every single person in Miami will have. Some of my recommendations are Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier. If you cant afford those brands just go to your local mall to Macy's or a store of that nature and get ones that look the same there but for half the price.
-7)Do NOT buy dress shirts or dress shoes. You don't wana go to those type of places where you have to dress nice....you cant take your shirt off so why bother.
-8)Get the biggest pair of sunglasses you can find especially ones with the name of the designers as big as it can get on the side so everyone can read the name from across the club or Shellbourne pool area.
-9)Practice your dance moves in the mirror with your shirt off so you can achieve peak performance on fist pumps and running/hopping/skipping in place to the beat of the music. Try to move your hips as little as possible. Just the extremities like arms and head because those are the best maneuvers in getting attention and possibly knocking an innocent bystander out and/or cause a fight.
-10)Get to the Shellbourne pool area 6 hours before the party starts this way you can get the prime real estate next to the pool area this way everyone can see you showing off your new dance moves and neatly cuffed up jeans.
-11)Do the most amount of drugs humanly possible this way you aren't hungry and don't have to pay for the overly priced food in Miami.
-12)Make sure you come back 30 pounds lighter, broke, with a few less billion brain cells and skin peeling off every part of your body.
Start Repeating this trend every year on January 2nd and you have achieved WMC popularity.
