just saw this.

Totally not my style of movie and thought I would give it a try.
I was impressed by the overall feel that came out of it.
The filming was too clean to be "real" ... yes people complained about nausea from camera shake when in reality I believe it would be much worse.

Not much insight to add.
Saw this only based on brief semi-ignored ads on myspace back in january and figured I oughta see it eventually.

watched it again (just bought the DVD) today.

i recommend watching all the additional stuff on the DVD...really neat to see how they made the movie, monster, etc...

also, they refer to the monster as "Clover"....and that it's a baby....

double also, the thing in the background from coney island looks like a ship....not like something that splashed into the water...

wtf did you have to like zoom in or something? i saw no splash...then again, i also only have a regular Zenith Tube TV from 1986...so its not like high def or whatever

I could not stand any of the characters - they were all annoying as fuck and I couldn't wait for them to fucking die. That was really the only enjoyment of this movie for me.

the actors sucked so fucking bad which in turn made the movie suck

you see it drop from the sky. not much of a splash, but it's very easy to see when you can slow it down.

It does not....... You can even tell something hits the water on a laptop screen, no need for an hd tv.
