I've been to a campsite next to Belin once..it was in Potsdam.

It was a BEAUTIFUL campsite with a lake by it to swim in And bvery nice ppl on it

I would've loved to go camping but my BF is a luxury-victim

Anyway....our hotel:

It has a BIERGARTEN and free public transport tickets

Was it this place:

http://touristik.freepage.de/fliesstal/en/camp.html

"Backpacker's Paradise is situated in the district of Berlin-Tegel, near the swimmable lake Tegeler See."

That is where we're going. I have no idea how far it is from the centre of Berlin.

108 euro per night is for two people

the hotel is pure class (4 stars)

they like us there and we've coming there since 1999

money isnt the problem

i was at the train station today....here's what i found out....

they have this "raver ticket" they are doing with MTV to go to the love parade via the DB (Deutsche Bahn).....
for there and back it costs 19
between 301-600KM 29
more than 601KM 49

now the shitty ass thing is, they are only offering it on the 12th and the 13th (i have no idea about return dates, but the tickets are valid for return as well)....well the 12th is already sold out, and i already have my love from above ticket...but the 13th is still available (for anyone who cares)

btw, this "raver ticket" is valid with the S Bahn if anyone cares...

but if i want to go to berlin on the 11th, it costs 71 for only there, and then another 71 for the way back....BULLSHIT!!! but whatever...nothing i can do about it

i'll be booking my tickets in a couple days, when i find out about my place to stay, if i even can if not i'll arrive friday, drop my bag off at the train station, and then party party party till sunday, pick my bag up and leave to go back home....but i'll probably stop by the train station and change....ewwww....changing is a must!!

Luckily I booked my hotel back in february

http://www.aletto.de/

Nice & cheap, only 80 for three nights.
Taking 16 friends with me

Last year I was @ http://www.diefabrik.de, was very nice too, but a little further away from Kuhdamm...
In 2000 I was @ Hotel Transit, also a fine place to sleep

Remember sleeping in the car back in '99, damn that was great too

I decided on the camping place, cos cheap is best

I'll give them a ring tommorow. I'll ring the Hamburg-Berlin coach thing as well, to see if we need to book it.

When u do that, PM me with more details. And if bookings need to take place, could u do me a favour and book me a seat/tent/whatever and I'll pay you back.

Cheers!

Posted by Miss Proximus on Jun-23-2002 18:02:

I want a wristband too!!

Since our hotel offers free use of public transport I assume they have wristbands aswell

Posted by jp on Jun-23-2002 18:04:

every hotel offers those not all for free though...

Sorry, I still haven't rang the stuff up yet. I keep forgetting/can't be arsed, but I'll get it sorted.

Their site says you needn't book, but I'll ring just to make sure. I can't find a phone number for the coach service from Hamburg to Berlin.

Can anyone help me out here, on finding a phone number to book a coach with these guys:

http://www.zugbus.de/linienbus_hamber.htm

As far as I know, that's all we need sorted. I'm trying to find the cheapest way to London as well. Go Airways is fairly cheap, but they tend to sneakily add on extra costs and bump the price up. Mdma, how much does a bus from Victoria to Stansted cosat, and have you any idea what's the latest time they usually set off?

By the way, what's the dresscode like for clubs in Berlin and Hamburg? Is there one?

Cheers.

Posted by djdawn on Jun-25-2002 07:06:

here's a phone# for the bus: (01803) 252255

but you don't need reservations, the bus goes 8 (!) times a day if you want no-smoking then be there 15 min. before the bus leaves.

dresscode for Voila is a bit more strict than usual UKTA club-wear. No glowsticks, no people with spiky hair (they might let you in but nobody else wears his hair like that), few baggy pants, sneakers are ok. In Berlin it should be different, especially after LP, cause everybody dresses up crazy

Posted by jp on Jun-25-2002 12:53:

hey Dawn, did you by any chance ever play in Purmerend (De Doele) on a hardstyle party?

I saw a poster/flyer with your name on it

Posted by TranceGiant on Jun-25-2002 12:56:

Today I heared about possible terror attacks planned during the love parade..for example placing bombs on trucks etc. etc..

scary shit

Posted by djdawn on Jun-25-2002 13:03:

no, I have never played outside germany, so this must be yet ANOTHER DJ Dawn (the 4th or 5th I know of)

i thought about the possibility before it was in the news. it scares me...we had terrorist in germany (those involved in the WTC attack) and the LP is a HUGE target for attacks.
But I will go....

Posted by jp on Jun-25-2002 14:02:

They can't stop us

Any terrorist would start partying himself when he sees the crowd
