Fucking hilarious. I'm *almost* embarrassed for her.
I really wish our federal debate weren't on at the same time as the VP debate! In another debate, Joe Biden told one of his opponents "the thing I like the most about you...is your wife." LOL It's going to be interesting to watch a reputed hot-head try and take down his female opponent without pissing off female voters.

hahaha...
Anderson has been having a continuous field day with her. He must sometimes feel like he's hosting a comedy show, lol.
It is eerie how well Tina Fey plays Palin on SNL.
seeing the skit from SNL from last saturday and then comparing it to the real interview was hilarious.

Palin defends her remark about foreign policy experience
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
September 26, 2008
Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin defended her remark that the proximity of Russia to her home state of Alaska gives her foreign policy experience, explaining in a CBS interview airing yesterday that "we have trade missions back and forth."
Palin's foreign policy experience arose when she gave her first major interview on Sept. 11 to ABC News. Asked what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, she said: "They're our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."
When CBS News anchor Katie Couric asked how Alaska's closeness to Russia enhanced her foreign policy experience, Palin said, "Well, it certainly does because our ... our next-door neighbors are foreign countries."
Palin didn't answer directly when Couric inquired about whether she had been involved in negotiations with the Russians. "We have trade missions back and forth," she replied.

I honestly am not following this very much at all, so I can not provide any thorough opinions on this topic, however, I did come into work yesterday to sit with my boss and watch this interview. Palin is unbelievable....and if elected, she is the back up option in a US Presidential crisis???
The more I think about this, the more choosing Palin as VP makes sense. She (like Bush) appeals to the majority of American voters because like them, she has little to no idea of what's going on in the world. Americans can identify with that.

Nor does she mention France.
Still a brutal answer though. The guy's commentary on the interview was spot on.

It'd be great if she actually said that though. Instead she went off on some tangent.

Anyone watching? I can't watch our federal debate - they're all talking over one another and it's maddening!
Palin is doing much better than I was expecting....certainly better than in the Couric interview. She does have appeal as the every day american citizen who can speak to people from the heart when she's allowed to by her political advisors.

Both of them are guilty for not answering questions directly...both have been called on it already.

I can't understand why people would even watch a VP debate....especially if you are not even american.....and when our own debate is on....now the leaders debate...that's a different story
