^ agreed.
F1 has become way too safe and sanitized anyways. It needs to be dangerous, that's the whole essence of it. Sure the cars are faster than ever, but there isn't the same fire-spitting drama anymore.
(yes, I'll still watch until the day it dies, and no I'm not advocating careless wasting of lives to satisfy my lust for voyeuristic danger
, and yes, I'm working on building a time machine in my basement to go back to the "good ol' days" - damn I feel old lol)
There's a great series on ESPN Classic over here called Formula 1 Retro that covers each year of the 70's championships. It's awesome and I really hope they do an 80's one.

Mercedes buys Brawn GP & brakes up with McLaren, quite a shocker imo...
Think the germans still have spygate in their backmind?
And for the record, Barrichello goes to Williams next year.

I have been a mclaren fan for a while.... i am not sure where my loyalty will be in the future.
i fucking hate Button.
^ Yeah, so much for loyalty eh?
There's an article in Autosport now where Button says he wanted a new challenge. That just sounds so bloody weak. All through the season, the team including the drivers, was saying how great it was that everyone stuck together through the tough times (JB being there since 2003, and some of the team having been there since it was Tyrrell!!).
Where is that loyalty now?!
It also seems like a further slap to the Brawn team since he said to Autosport that he took less money than Brawn was offering.
why "weak" ? why "slap" ? Can't a guy give himself and impossible challenge of defeating Hamilton in mclaren ?
Loyalty was when he stuck with the team after Honda dropped out
I dunno. Maybe it's just the way I'm reading it. Why can't he go out to beat Hamilton still in the car he won the championship in?
Why should his loyalty to the team end after he was finally in a championship winning car?
c'est la vie
cant blame him i guess, for going to a british team he probably idolised as a kid
^ True, but Brawn is no less British and the roots of the team go back way further than McLaren. hell, it goes back to when Bruce McLaren was still driving!!
rosberg confirmed for mercedes (brawn) for 2010.
