For me, it's not worth it.

if you factor in free water which was around $3 i believe, and that you had to first stand in line to buy tickets and then go to a different window to buy the actual water

lets say u drink 2 waters a day @ $3= $18 + $90 + $40 = $148
paying an extra $2 for the convenience of not using port-a-potties that stand in the sun all day and are used by all sorts of characters plus less time spend waiting in line ups , is more worth for me then having to run to my hotel, missing out on the music, every time i need to go to the loo or want a drink
and the t shirt and cd's were actually dope still wear/listen to them
anyways thats y its worth it for me

ahh free water and vitamin water. That sounds a little more enticing. A couple years ago I didn't find going to the hotel for drinks and a little intermission to be a big deal and I ended up drinking there which saved me money for buying drinks on the grounds. And you can buy a 26er there for like $10.

I was fully perked by the time we got back to the grounds that I didn't even worry about drinking. I think I maybe bought five drinks there the whole weekend.

I understand wanting to save money and shit, but if you have to drink in your hotel room to do so, should you really be taking a vacation? I mean, my idea of taking a trip - especially to party - is taking a vacation from all the shit you normally worry about, like money. If I can't go away somewhere and blow money like wiping my ass with 100s ain't no thang, then I'll just stay the fuck home. No fun, imo.

edit: ESPECIALLY a trip like this, which is so cheap in terms of travel, accommodations, and tickets.

I probably shouldn't be going to DEMF based on funds. I will be in Cuba two weeks before and I have a couple trips planned this summer.

But I'm not missing DEMF. Trust me I don't cut any corners. I still party hardy. I'm budgeting $500, including hotel.

Besides the VIP isn't about the money. I simply have no desire for it. I know I won't spend a minute in the VIP area.

i actually didnt spend any time in the VIP either except for when gettign a drink or going to the loo, and still think its worth it

kinda sad to c that most of the dj's i wanted to c there wont be there based on their myspace show listings
