If this website could get more labels, I would support them all day long. No bs, wav handling fee like beatport. Hopefully they will be in it for the long run.

For those still into vinyl (and CD's):

http://www.propelrecords.com/

Beta version went live this week. Currently working with only a few distributors who specialize in Tech-House, Techno, and a few other genres. Will be adding a lot of Trance and Prog stuff in the coming weeks.

It is a Beta version because there is a lot of behind-the-scenes automation that will ultimately allow us to offer the greatest variety of any vinyl retailer. Rather than waiting til every distributor was online, we decided to begin offering everything we have already started to carry.

We try to keep the prices as low as possible. Considering import costs and all, they're very reasonable. We're mainly just a group of vinyl junkies trying to keep vinyl alive. Founded by the same group of folks who ran the Atlanta branch of Satellite Records.

PM me with any questions.

OK,

so i'm new to this downloading digitally off the web thing. I hunted for one specific track I couldn't find anywhere else. It was released in 12'' and cdr so i thought it'd be interesting to give it a shot on google. Only thing is, the site I've discovered it on isn't on your list! What do u guys think?

http://mp3audioz.com/peter-martin-p...rtist300116846/

I'm not even sure if the version available was available on CdR

what do u guys think?

OMG.

i think that site i just posted is something dodgy. I thought I'd google another track that was released on vinyl and I"ve realised that a lot of these sites are not to be trusted.

for example, i looked up an older (goergeous) track by Thrillseekers feat. Hydra - Affinity, and the SAME SITE came up. Pity that when i looked on discogs it was only released on vinyl. NFI what's going on...

Both tracks you have mentioned are on beatport. Also, a good portion of digital releases aren't on discogs. They're usually on discogs only if it's an mp3 only release.

thanks for your help.

I'll probably have to get some help sorted out from the producers and DJs I already know. I still don't get why random mp3 sites like these would have the track available for download and payment.

invalid sites

decadancerecords.com from United States part of list is no longer available according to the website, and euromusicworld.com just brings you to a site with lots of ads.

Dancerecords.com - They're out of California, but they don't have a brick and motar store. I don't know if this helps you at all or not.

I didn't know they did. My guess would be the margins and demand.

It's probably not just that - a lot of vinyl is import and with gas prices, the cost of transporting vinyl has become prohibitive on a national level, let alone international. Sadly
