for fucks sake.......

exactly, i spent like over a month making the tracklist, mixed it 5 times, was told that breaks in my set was fine, did it in the required time (mine was 60:30, shouldnt get points off for that), and i get an 82%, i have sent it to some people, and even they wonder why i got 82%, no offense to the one judge who did the results. this is really fuckin bullshit though, how we put in time to do our mixes, and then we have judges who dont even bother to grade the mixes or even tell us that they arent going to do it. some fuckin bullshit if you ask me, and these mixes are supposed to be graded on the mixing, not the style, when did the mp3 mix comp, as a judge, even though i didnt like some of this hard nrg stuff that these guys were playing, regardless, they were only graded on how they mixed, not what they mixed, so i dont know

hey ian, thanks for the results...congrats to the high enders.

certain folks are feeling down about not finishing higher, but dont forget it IS possible that other people have better style than you do. doesnt mean yours wasnt good or even great. (of course i havent heard anything and this could be totally just wishful thinking and the judging was biased ) anyway, just thank the guy for taking the time to judge and enter the next comp. just an opinion. i know you guys are moreso venting about the other judges not posting results yet/ever, but thats no reason to be bitter.

i'm ready for comp VI! bring it on top tenners.

I'm sorry if your mark isn't what you wanted, I've told you in the pm, and i'll say again so everyone can see it, Basically as I've been the only guy to judge this one, the results are based on my gradings, in my first ever go at doing this judging business. I feel bad for you guys, you all deserve better after going to the effort, but I feared for posting results that people would say I did it biased or unfair. I can promise you all that I never, and with having 3 helpers in the next one, the marks should come out better.

I did mark a bit harsh i think, cos I didnt wanna mark mixes at like 95% & find better ones, the 2 that finished joint first were both amazing, and the rest were excellent, but there has to be a winner & some guys who don't win, nothing was done personally or on the styles (Richy played Hybrid in his & so did Neo) and i really dig that kinda breaks stuff, I feel most sorry for Nick & Haak as their mixes were really proggy & stuff that I'm not used to hearing, and could possibly have finished a lot higher with an average, I don't know, but i felt the need to post results so that we could finally move onto the next compo

just to add, your mark was 62/75 which I consider to be of a very high standard anyway, it only looks lower in percentages than in actual marks

u did the mix 5 times? i thought it was in the rules u can practice but not so that it becomes robotic. If u need to do a mix 5 times to get it rite perhaps ur not that great a DJ, and that is why u got a low mark, i dunno im just speculating. And theres no need to go shouting ur mouth at the one judge who has actually had his results completed since the deadline, and has actually bothered to put in so much effort. just take it on the chin ffs, and deal with it.

Cool

not to be hypocritical but at least ian tried and prevailed.

that's nothing to be proud of, its what the people are angry at and ian is getting it in the neck because of it.

finally, this mix comp has only been kept from a complete failure by ian's sole efforts along with t0ast's provision of space, so a thank you to you both. the next mix comp has already begun and NEW MIXES HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED, not the same ones again.

comp 6 will be dealt with properly so please take your whinging to there or this is gettin closed
