i'm almost certain that accadia has something to do with some ancient middle-east culture, but i can't remember what! all i can find right now on my history books is a picture of some accadian bronze head from about 2350 bc.

olmec heads are these massive sculptures done by the olmecs (an ancient indian tribe). here's a pretty picture

Yahel's last name is Sherman.
Eyal's last name is Barkan.
They're both from Israel.

your thinking of the akkadians. they are from the middle east. a short history summary...

Once upon a time there were Sumerians. they lived between the tigris and Euphrates. the akkadians took over the sumerians under the leadership of Sargon The Great in around 2330 B.C.E. the end.

also arcadia is the ancient greek name for one of the provinces in the peloponesian, namely the part that had athens and a couple others.

Solar Stone

The name Solar Stone, as his producer Andy Bury once told me, is a name that was selected while they were reading a mythology book about ancient pre-colombine tribes or soemthing like that but I dont know the exact meaning. It seems like they liked the name and decided to use it for their music.

I personally love that name dont you?

Posted by alpro54 on Oct-02-2003 18:11:

by the way, apart from being a benzodiazepine, like Orfidal or Lexatin, Halcyon means "Happiness, Plenitude" and im sure that's the meaning Chicane wanted to use for his song

Well, it's a play on words. Cain and Abel were the sons of Adam and Eve in the bible.

lol, it means caned as in mashed, drugged up, drunk, off your tits etc.
and unable i.e. not having the ability to do something, he also said this in an interview in djmag a few years back.

here in australia caned = the feeling of having been thrashed - ie you go for a long run and you have caned your legs... most likely used to symbolise someone having used a cane on your legs like the good ol' days

my interpretation of caned and unable is that the name was thought up after a big night out whereby he was too exhausted to think of a name

I always wondered what "Der Scheiber" means... Maybe a German TA can help out...

I always wondered what that means too! Where did I even get it from? Is it the name of a track?

If I remember it's said in Tomcraft's Prozac.. think it's taken from a German movie or something.

Gonna scroll through the rest of this thread to see.. I could always google it.
