I could have one too, but I am pretty sure I was back in Illinois and not in DC for the summer when it happened.

I have a ticket stub from Metallica & GnR at RFK. 1992

And 4 un-used tickets to Ozzy Osbourne w/ Motorhead at the Cap Center for July 31 1992. (The show got cancelled).

Now don't make me break out my Grateful Dead tickets, Mr. Squirrel!

Starting with: 1991 - Cap Center

G n R sucked.

Course I think I have said this about 9 times before in the thread already lol.

Hmmm that reminds me....need to find one of my copies of my step-brother's band's EP...have not listened to that in years.

Ok you win.

Not that I would ever go see the Dead. Not my kind of thing at all.

haha, y'all are ancient! in 1992 i was in... hmmm.... 7th grade?

i'm watching bowling for columbine, which is pretty interesting. it's pretty intriguing and a little funny in some places. but god, when the security videos from the shootings at the high school were played i just cried. i still remember being in high school when that happened, i was a junior.

mr s, there will be no GnR hate speech in this thread!

Ok....for 3 reasons I say it is time for me to post some lyrics.

1) It is the sexmas season and one must post some sexmas song lyrics.

2) This is one of the most gay (literally lol) holiday songs in history.

3) It is from the 80s.

Last christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
Ill give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognize me?
Well
Its been a year
It doesnt surprise me
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying I love you
I meant it
Now I know what a fool Ive been
But if you kissed me now
I know youd fool me again

Last christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
Ill give it to someone special

A crowded room
Friends with tired eyes
Im hiding from you
And your soul of ice
My God I thought you were
Someone to rely on
Me?
I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
Now Ive found a real love youll never fool me again

Last christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
Ill give it to someone special

Last christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
Ill give it to someone special

Don't you just love Wham! ?

You could not have been in 7th grade missy. I was between 8th and 9th grades then and we know I am ancient compared to you.

And of COURSE there will be GnR hate speech in this thread. I was at RFK, I heard how horrible they were.
Granted, they could have been better in the Appetite for Dstruction days...btu the Use Your Illusion days Axl had become a total premadonna ass.

But I will stop now in the spirit of sexmas

/me hangs the misteltoe on the end of his tail and wves it above his head.

Any takers?

WHY?

Sorry...I just don't like that song very much. Of course I am not a huge fan of sexmas music in general but it is just like too damn sappy.

Christmas in Hollis is the best tune of the genre fromt eh 80s IMHO.

lol

I dont have a clue either. I think christmas music in general is annoying, especially since they start playing it the day after Thanksgiving. Of course I'm slightly biased because I'm a Hannukah man myself

Christmas in Hollis

Rhymes so loud and proud you hear it
It's Christmas time and we got the spirit
Jack Frost chillin, the ?orchas out?
And that's what Christmas is all about
The time is now, the place is here
And the whole wide world is filled with cheer

Posted by daffodil on Dec-16-2003 01:38:

my favorite christmas song:

chestnuts roasting on an open fire
jack frost nipping at your nose
tiny tots, with their eyes all aglow
will find it hard to sleep tonight....

Holidays are just plain commercialized.
