well 0,02% compared to 0,05% pretty much decides which is better for me. i have no need for scratching or any of the "vinyl" bs on the 800 and the 800 is fucking ugly too, so for me it's 200 all the way. and they're cheaper too. so i don't see any advantages the 800 has over the 200 for me, but the 200 has one major advantage over the 800 and that is the precision.

Keith you do realise thats my *dream* setup!?

I'm saving up 4 a pair of those mk5gs + mixer. At the moment my rooms getting done up & i'm looking for a new dj stand.

Sefour x30 looks like the best option for me as its well built & wht not. The main benefit is that i'm able to add a cd bracket when i finally get cd decks. The price is the only deterence £330 is the cheapest i'v seen for it.

Anyway i'm wondering what speaker stands they are?

Yeah they are really good, built like a brick .... house and the faders on it are brilliant, its great for mixing trance.

I reckon if they had put on board effects on it then it probably would have been one of the best mixers around atm, me and my mate were saying the other day if only you could have this mixer with the effects from his dnx1500 on it.

Sadly I'm not keeping it though, I got my Numark 5000fx yesterday been waiting for that for about 6 months now and then they released it last week 1 month after I bought the technics one.

The numark mixer is really good though so I'm still happy, its not the same build quality as the technics but the effects on it are awesome. I'll put some pics of the numark up tomorrow sometime.

P.S prob gonna be putting the technics mixer on ebay if anyone from here in UK is interested let me know, I want about £450 for it ( I paid 500 a month ago)

I didn't even notice that... Makes even funnier to read now.. I was pissing myself the first time i read it...

Posted by D@VE! on Apr-01-2005 06:35:

HI guys, it's to early to say a lot about the 200 but here are some comments:

It works easy and it's easy overviewable, don't need to read the manual.
Bright LCD en bright lights, so quick search.
souds good.
Pitch good, only the jog is a thing that i have to get use of because i am a 800 user.
the MP3 works fast and good on everything, it does not play VBR but it plays normal mp3s even in 320 and you can put everything in folders. it display's the tag's aswell!
The loop function is aslo fast and accurate!

Will be coming back to this in a while.

Holy shit, lol, nice set up, i hope u live in the middle of nowhere thou to be able to crank them babies up.

My system pumps 450 watts and i dont often get the chance to get it up to even a 1/4 of that cos of the neighbours, lol.

Well, 5,700 watts tends to wake up the neighbors so I have to be extremely gentle with the levels. I usually leave everything in my van but since I took it to Miami, I decided to set everything up in my room just for kicks.

Hey mate, thanks. Yeah I'm really happy with the setup myself. The speaker stands are Raxxess ESS-42BSL and I bought mine here: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ESS42BSL/

The Sefour stand I was able to find here: http://www.djdeals.com/sefourX30.htm

checked its 379
maybe it wasan accident? cause i want one

Posted by farris on Apr-03-2005 03:42:

Well, compared to the 579 euro we have to pay for them here in NL, that $379 is really cheap. You do the math how much 579 euro is converted to dollars .

It looks like they changed it, when I saw that post a few days ago I checked it and it said $299. It would have been nice if they left the old price up for pricematching at Guitar Center though.
