OK! now I got it (a different def.)

Yes, WAY too much money gets squandered and all you end up with is a big "blue veiner" and a long drive home

...unless you shell out even more money for the "happy ending"

I'd rather stay in too, good luck

I assume its another term for 'stag and doe'.

It's a new phenomenon. Like a bachelor party, except its for men and woman. Dancers/hookers are replaced with raffels, casinos, and other money sucking devices. It's all designed to help the couple raise money for the wedding. It can be fun, but can get very expensive if your generous during these occasions (I dropped $350 at my friends earlier this summer).

Now I realize its NOTHING like a bachelor party!!!!

I make it a point not to get sucked in by co-workers or casual aquaintances who invite me to these. I only attend the "jacknjill parties' of close friends whom I want to have a nice wedding.

WE'RE getting married so YOU give us YOUR money.

I hate the hills. But even with all the cliche and cheese I am LOVING heroes right now. Best show on Network television. I am so happy that they are obviously going to make up for Peter's and Sylar's fistfight from season 1 (all those powers and they are punching each other.....sheesh)

Although it makes Hiro's story more interesting, I don't like that Tenkiu suzuki dude having a power. The show inplied that this was a new phenomenon in evolution that recently appeared. If peoples had powers centuries ago, it contradicts the theme of the show that this is 'new leap in human evolution'. But I can ignore that...holes in the story can be easily filled with exciting super powers and demi-god like show downs between those that wield them!!!!

Im fine with it, but I have my personal guidelines. If you invite people to the 'stag n doe'...you MUST invite them to the wedding.

If I attend your stag and doe...you SHOULD attend mine.

Try and make the marriage last at least a few years !!!! I don't want to celbrate your wedding, and then your help you through your divorce within a 24 month span.

Hence my previous comment about keeping these between an 'inner circle' of friends. Help each other financially when the money is most needed.

^^ Pretty much. Since I've moved here I've attended 6-7 weddings and all but 1 or 2 bach/stag&doe parties. 4/5 marriages ended within 2 years. Now, I'm all for helping people, being there for them but when I spend money to help you and less then a year later you turn around and say "ya , we're done" it's a little insulting, and I want a refund. loljk but You get my point.

...if you have kids during that first year or so of "marital bliss", and you find out you are with the "wrong person", you've just set yourself up for 12-18 years of sheer hell on earth. You'll need your stag & doe money for perscription anti-depressants.

...not that I know anything about this subject..Haha

LOL...

Admitting it is the first step. The anti-depressants are the next 11.

I have found that if both people agree and admit that they totally loathe each other, you can actually have a somewhat "normal" family life, with well adjusted children...really!

When you lie to each other, saying that you love them, when truly you DON'T and try to pretend that everything is fine, these relationships usually end violently..or with a massive stroke.

$120 dropped tonight for the jack&jill. They are players on my company softball team, and they invited me to their wedding, but I won't make it. It'll be another $100 I am compelled by etiquette to send them for inviting me. They're nice people anyways and wish them the best, but because I'll be focussing on hardball next year, I prolly won't see them again, since I'll likely not rejoin the team next summer.

...that's not funny....but it's true

I still keep any Canadian money that I have left, from trips across the border, in my safe at home...it's growing better than my savings account.

He won't be able to. He spent it all on them.

I'm sure that AJ's money will be put to great use on something really exciting!

1. Bath & hand towels
2. Cookware
3. Throw rugs
4. Those fancy soft soap dispensers
5. Drapes & borders
6. Sheets & pillows

...stuff like that.

It does seem that way heh. Funny thing is, I've been trying to stay home and get rest but events/parties keep popping up. One just came up tonight and I don't know about going, so tired and beat from work...gah. And tomorrow I have an early party that I'm def hitting up.
