arggh.. still paying for the fun I had.

But, in short, we were all really really amazed at how well received the event was. Massive props to all the TA's who come out for it, saw a lot of faces I had not seen for a while, and obviously great to meet all the Melbourne TAs also.. many thanks for making the trek up here! I think we were just happy that you guys came all the way up for a decent party!!

Good tunes, and we had really strong positive feedback about the techno in the red room for 4 hours before the hard trance. Steve Noble & Emass tore it up, tho I didnt see Steve personally.

All the sets were great. I have recorded the entire Blue room, and I will be putting up JJ's and my set as soon as I can. Will do Muli and Cam if they want to also

Easily the best trance event i have EVER played at.


I had SOOOO much fun playing, absolutley loved it.

I got to play the kind of trance i love, and you all took to it so well, made my night

Glad you liked the psy, those infectious grooves are awesome at that time of the morning.

I experimented a little in the middle there dropping a very dreamy track after universal nation, just had to bring you down a little from the intesity before slaming it back in

I'll post a tracklisting once i listen to the set as i've fogotten a few tracks.


A big thanks to Scott and the team for having me on and finally a promoter letting me play the stuff i really love!

That is the trance i love, and i'm glad you enjoyed it.

was a fun weekend away with some of the Melb. TA's...

hopefully a few of us will be up again in the near future..

well done on the guys for producing a great night of entertainment, which far exceeds ANOT events from what i've heard..

Finally home after a long weekend.. So much fun, thanks to all the Syd crew who made sure we were all having a great time at the event and also afterwards, especially tathi (whose efforts included coming to rescue us from being lost somewhere in the back-streets of St Peters) & tonydanza

Great to see some familiar Syd ta's and meet some new faces.. Very impressed with the event, venue & decor were great, friendly happy crowd & awesome music. You should all be very happy with yourselves, it was pumping from open to close! Looking forward to joining you for another one soon

PS soups can swallow more dry weet-bix than anyone, I think he could've gone one more but he had no competition left by that stage But tonydanza gets the prize for having the most in his mouth at the one time

After that night i spent most of sunday looking around for some of the plot that i lost on the dancefloor

Great night guys. Top music and bigger crowd than i expected. Jumping jack remains my favourite sydney dj. Excellent set.

Good to finally meet some of the melbourne guys and girls. Excuse my shit stirring guys, its all in good fun and glad you all had a good night out.

p.s. where are the photos of marsh. Classic my friend.

you know you just had a big weekend when you came home to find your jeans is a little loose on the waist..

and what a big weekend that was!

started at hugo's gathering at brighton hotel, haven't had that much fun in ages!! had an absolute ball meeting all the sydney TA. soups' pisstake attempts were hilarious nice to finally meet s_madis, jace, gilmista, spang, webby, nixter, misstrance, chookie, keith909 and catching up with tathi, tonydanza, ossie_au, luke sykes and erratik but we missed djway.. next time!

lots of gay and lesbians, cross dressers, no muzza, no phatties, being asked to show the melbourne shuffle, someone tried to pinch my arse/steal my wallet as i was walking home ... definitely the sydney we know!!

spent the next day running around in the CBD for some record shopping but noticed the weather is fucked! i thought it is supposed to be warm and sunny in sydney?
felt absolutely knackered by the end of it but still excited about the night to come..

had dinner with the trancetribe promoters team at that $5 steak down the road.. we ordered our steak (i ordered medium rare with pepper sauce and chips on the side plus a glass of coke, all for $12) which i must say, not really up to the standard we melbournians have *chinstroke* -- 2.5 out of 5 stars. but i guess its ok to have for your meal the next day after a big night out!!

funny thing that happened, as we wait of our orders to come, this group of police about 8 people entered the premises with a sniffing dog and carrying forensic equipments. they seems to look for something/someone because they entered almost every corner and they splitted up into two groups.. so much work if they only wanted to arrest a steak!!

come 10.30pm it's suzie q time!! i can see the nervous look at the promoters faces but the night progressed very well.. kudos for their effort in decoring and having blue and green lasers. spent the first half of the night at the red room to check out rob noble and emass who played some wicked tek. they didn't cut up the tracks as much as melbourne tek DJ usually would but still pretty enjoyable. was really surprised to see the red room went off at about 12!! as a nice treat i found a couple of non-ta friends from melbourne which makes the night even better.

finally, after 3 years i got to see jumping jack again! a really enjoyable set from him and the main room was well packed and for the punters the highlight must be when he dropped silence and seeing everybody on the dancefloor throw their hands in the air is quite a sight. haven't seen that happen in a club for a fair while.

spent the rest of the night running around between rooms and chatting to people. nice to finally meet pendulum, muli, waxology, dj ballistic, xenon, oli_a and pinkhelmet, but i missed bragi i think! everyone from the promoter crew who knew i was from melbourne kept asking me if i enjoyed my night. let me tell you that the hundreds of $$ i spent on this trip was well worth it!!!

spent the day after at batemanscott's mate -- moe's place for the afterparty. definitely the proper way to end our sydney adventure and close it on a high note. sorry sydney boys, you do know how to throw a party, but still have a lot to learn for the afterparty!!
definitely one of the best weekend i ever had... would be even better with a few more close friends from melbourne, but you can't have everything i guess...


thanks for the hospitality, luke sykes, tathi, tonydanza, ossie_au, scott richardson. muchly appreciated and hopefully our feedbacks can be put into good use. next time any of you guys going to melbourne, give us a yell and we'll show you our way on how its done in melbourne!!!

err and obviously thanks to usual suspects batemanscott, kelkel, marsh, soups, nyquist+liz for keeping up with my antics for the entire weekend!!
