According to FM, a future world player of the year award winner. Maybe not that good, but I'd expect some good stuff from him.

Still on the Porto - Celtic thing, playing physical and aggressive isn't more "ethical" than forcing a foul here and there.

Mateja Kezman going to Atletico Madrid.

Chelski still haven't signed a striker yet, and considering recalling Crespo from AC Milan.

How do you not know who Hleb is

Chris Kirkland to join West Brom on loan.
I really liked him when he was with Coventry, and hopefully he'll be fully fit and play at the level he is capable of.
He def. has the potential to be a number 1 England goalkeeper in the future. (Not that there's many good English keepers)

S. Gerrard stops his wage negociations... Trezeguet'll be a future Chelski player (about 54 m )

Posted by Plastick on Jul-05-2005 08:26:

Chelski have made a British record 32 million (50 million) bid for Steven Gerrard.

And later on.....

Liverpool will turn down Chelsea's 32m offer for unsettled Steven Gerrard.

Anfield chief executive Rick Parry told BBC Sport Chelsea had made a bid for Liverpool's 25-year-old captain, who has broken off talks on a new contract.

He said: "I can confirm we have had a bid from Chelsea and that it will be rejected by us."

Solari will play at Inter Milan for the next three seasons... hope he does well at inter

that bid that chelsea is making tor trezeguet is ridiculous...there are many other strikers out there with double the talent and half the price...

Steven Gerrard tells Liverpool he wants to quit Anfield after rejecting a 100,000-a-week contract!

Reports from Spain indicate Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to offer 40 mil for the England star's services.

-Sevilla have announced that they've reached a deal with FC Porto for Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano.

-Arsenal have had a bid for Sevilla's 23-year-old Brazilian striker Julio Baptista rejected by the Spanish club.

Chelsea are poised to move in with a firm bid for Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips after missing out on Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
Manager Jose Mourinho is back from a break and wants the deal done quickly for the 23-year-old England star.

Chelsea are likely to bid around 18m, but that will not be enough and City will demand at least 22m.

City are also in no hurry to part with Wright-Phillips, despite reported debts of around 60m.

Bellamy to Blackburn

Just read:

Luis Figo's agent has indicated that his client has agreed a deal to move to Liverpool next term.

The Portuguese winger has attracted widespread interest ever since it emerged that Real Madrid may be prepared to move him out of the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Newcastle tried and failed with a move for the winger, while Valencia and Galatasaray were also said to be in the frame.

Liverpool emerged as likely bidders recently and the 32-year-old indicated to his agent that he would be prepared to join the UEFA Champions League winners.

An accord is believed to have been struck between player and club, but it has emerged that Real are digging their heels in and may demand a fee for his sale.

Liverpool are not prepared to pay a transfer fee on top of the player's wages and Figo is set to meet Real president Florentino Perez in a bid to smooth his passage to Anfield.

"An accord exists between Liverpool and Luis over the financing of the move," said Figo's agent Luis Douens. "Luis wants to play in England and Liverpool is a great club."

It would appear that Real will have to shift their stance if Figo is to become a Red.

"The decision rests on Real," added Douens. "If they want money for the transfer then I believe it will be hard."

Real sporting director Arrigoi Sacchi has suggested the final decision will lie with Perez.

"The subject of Figo is a question for Florentino," said Sacchi. "The final decision will be with the president."

Bellamy to Blackburn for less than 5M.

Blackburn fans must love Newcastle. We take their manager who had them heading for relegation and even pay off his contract for them, then a year later we sell them our best player for a bargain. We're being taken for a ride and it's not funny. It's our money which is paying for these fuck-ups, I'm paying for Souness to get rid of our best players on the cheap and people are telling me to be patient. Robert and Bellamy took us from a side who finished 11th two years in a row to a side that finished 4th, 3rd and 5th. Time is running out for Souness to replace them, our season starts next weekend.

Bellamy is odds-on to outscore Shearer next season despite playing at a much smaller club. But not to worry because apparently we have got rid of a 'disruptive cancer', in other words someone who loved the club and gave 110% every game but wouldn't kiss Souness's arse.

Posted by Turner on Jul-08-2005 17:05:

Ambrose gone now, Souness is fucking this club up big style, we truely are fucked, were heading for relegation.
