If you've read the thread what the fuck are you talking about? The opening post of the thread does not sum up the entire discussion by many people that has taken place within it. You came in here attacking Nemesis and when he kicked your ass utterly you started getting all protective and resorting to this. You came in here following the course of the argument, and I've just fucking highlighted the nature of that argument, so please fucking tell me what the fuck the fucking subject line of this fucking thread has to do with anything and how it saves your fucking useless ass in this argument?

Its not gunna change anything unless u take action and do something about it. So you can talk all you want, but its all a pointless waste of time. And btw, jsut for ur info, I think Sail is an awesome track. I never said that its the best track in the world.
Dumbfuck.k thanks.

see now that's where you're wrong. The first step in being able to do anything big about a problem is AWARENESS. Being able to SEE what's going on and to spread the message to those who aren't aware yet and raise the overall consciousness and rallying some serious concern. If you think my efforts with this situation will end with this thread, that's where you're wrong.

For a lot of noobs it might not hit very close to home or them being able to know any better, or even be legal for the clubs yet, but if enough people are actually in touch with what's going on enough to make some difference however possible (If there's ways to destroy something there ARE ways to fix it) then maybe by the time they are legal for clubs there will be great trance nights to go to. Or maybe their friends won't give them such a hard time about loving trance and have such an ignorant prejudice towards it.

It's nice to be able to share your love for something with your friends, or with a club full of people, or at a festival, not just in your house plugged into ASOT.

*Still waiting for your reality check.. although I have a feeling it'll just come back NSF

The rest of those here might not quite share your view there.

You might want to come in here and call me a dumbass and tell everyone to fuck off, I'm sure we've got our point across about how much your posts mean to us and how much we value your opinion after the way you've presented yourself in this discussion, but seriously. If you love trance, get out of this thread because you are not helping things one bit and you're turning this discussion ugly and taking away from anything positive that could come out of it.

** FOR THE RECORD.. nothing ever improved from people going "oh everything's fine.. everything's great.. perfect in fact" **

see what I'm saying? Things improve from people seeing what's wrong and wanting to change it and improve it and push for a greater standard. And THAT is what this thread is really all about. Believe it or not it's not just a place to come bitch and contradict and tell people to fuck off.

I've adapted, I'm doing very well myself without relying on trance anymore in my sets, but trance has given me far too much over the years for me to just turn my back completely and live in my own happy land and forget about it and not feel that there's some way to help.

He's been DJing and promoting for a decade and you tried to tell him he didn't know anything about the scene. That's like picking a fight with a sculpture and fucking up your fists when you try and punch it.

Who are you trying to kid?

And anyone who likes 1999 more than 2006 is jsut living in the past and needs to stop arguing which is better. I am a lover of all trance from all years. It's had its ups and downs. But its still alive and ickin pretty hard.

And differnet music fits differnet lifestyles, so basically if you were to argue this, then you argue that your lifestyle is better than another persons lifestyle. Who are you to say that a person who likes 2006 trance more than 1999 trance is a dumbass because they, as a person, find it more suitable to themselves.

This topic should not even exist. Becasue it is not a question of which trance is better, or what "true trance" is. It is a question of who YOU are and what YOU like to listen to.

k thanks.

Aww, is someone dissing your favorite music? Are your feelings hurt? Grow up kid.

Posted by Nightshift on Jul-19-2006 02:18:

Oh ok guys.

Lol its been fun. But truly I like peanuts.

I know i was in denial for a while but OH MAN this got a little too heated. Cause peanuts are awesome.

You know, if you had read this entire thread you would know that what you posted is exactly the same that has been posted and replied to at least once in this thread already. I don't understand how DJ Nemesis has the patience to still reply to all the shit you post, I know I would have gone mental already.

Imo you fail miserably in this thread, mainly because you're either too lazy to read the entire thread, or you're too ignorant to understand it. This discussion had become how to marinade the chicken and then you start talking about the eggs which were already written 4 pages about.

Posted by Nightshift on Jul-19-2006 08:53:

I like eggs for breakfast.

very very true. Those points were brought up ages ago in this thread. The purpose of this thread is not about who likes what, so much as what the hell's really been going on to the trance scene the last few years and some of the cold hard evidence of the damage.. so that people can be aware of what's going on and raise enough concern and awareness that maybe collectively we can start to be useful and make a difference in helping to improve things and repair the damage.

Posted by G-Con on Jul-19-2006 13:38:

The problem with saying that we all need to do something about it is "What are we suppose to do?"

You say start going out to your local trance nights etc, but lets be realistic. We go out on weekends not because we feel we should, but because we want to. I really enjoy going clubbing, but these days I go prob once a month. Trance nights prob once every two months. I'd like to go more but I have other commitments, other things I want to do aswell like getting pissed down the town, going cinema\meal with my girlfriend etc etc. I'm sure many people on here are the same.

Whilst i really want trance to get big again, or at the very least just keep going, it's not exactly high on my list of priorities of things to do.

"Lets do something about it" is a nice idea, I appreciate the sentiment but its unrealistic

So a small quiz question: In which classic trance track almost the same sample is used? (Or from which track did Armin borrow it?)

The sample is not exactly the same, but no doubt the sample comes from the classic track.

You're answer shows your looking at what you don't like, instead looking at what you do like.

Anyway, I think you know what the difference is between a sample and a melody, not?

So please try again, it's about the small sample he used. I cannot hear any common sounds with For An Angel. Armin also played this track at episode 257, I hope you listened to the same version.

ANYONE ELSE OF YOU TRANCEADDICTS WANNA GIVE IT A SHOT??

One can only hope. You would be doing us all a favor. But wait...we would not become elitist without your vast knowledge in what great music is. What will we do?

and heres a few more:

The sample I mean is just 1 second or so, and repeated many times.
