Go the Hawks....

Great to see them come back from 5 goals down at one stage. Going to Melbourne next weekend, roadtrip.

Get used to this sight.

Wow good tipping. 0-3 with one game to go. Can you tip whoever Hawthorn is playing next weekend as well.

Posted by PauLie_C on Sep-09-2007 22:14:

hahaha thats why i didnt get close in my tipping comp.

narrowly missed the north v geelong game aswell lol.

Collingwood will beat the eagles and hawthorn will touch north melb up.

North Melb miss having a target up front, drew petrie doesnt cut it, he is a dud IMO, the umpiring was shocking yesterday!!! north should feel hard done by there, how good was the punch on 1/2 an hr before the game lol, oldskool footy

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Sep-09-2007 23:19:

I don't think that's it at all. We don't seem to have missed a taregt up front for most of the year have we? I think our forward line has worked much better this year than it has for a very long time. Petrie is one of the best marks in the AFL imo, but the entire forward line was completely choked by Geelong yesterday. I didn't think North played particularly badly, it was the fact that Geeling didn't give them a chance to play any better. I can barely remember a North kick that didn't go to a contest because they were manning up so closely & ferociously, it was the biggest shut down of any team that I can remember seeing _Geelong will be hard to beat come the Grand Final. I thought the umpiring was disgraceful in the first quarter but when you lose by 106 points that doesn't seem to matter very much lol.

Posted by PauLie_C on Sep-10-2007 05:23:

i just felt that North had no direction when going forward and had no target man, the umpiring was disgraceful when the game was still in the balance, not saying that north would have won if the umpiring was better, but it wouldnt have been that bad

Posted by Dean Millson on Sep-10-2007 05:26:

We could have had Tony Lockett, Gary Ablett, Jason Dunstall & Peter Hudson in our forward line yesterday and the result wouldn't have been any different - Geelong were awesome.

i totally forgot what finals footy is like til saturday. every mark, free kick, goal was intense and brought massive cheers and boo's.

i dont know whether north getting belted is a good thing for us and both of us now have some niggling injuries with harris (broken hand) and jones (foot)...

hopefully the weather is good and we can can see another 7 goal from the Love Machine...

bollocks. they had direction => turn around and charge the opposition's cocks with their arseholes.

Posted by JayseP on Sep-10-2007 13:46:

how good was hodgey stealing the footy of an adelaide bloke, spinning around him and his mate handballing over his head hitting a hawk on the chest etc.. all fucking day

Posted by Dean Millson on Sep-15-2007 15:07:

So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all...

And i read in the paper that some Hawthorn player reckons Franklin will be better than Carey...

C'mon Please...

Posted by TCB on Sep-15-2007 16:11:

in retrospect the hawks saved themselves some time. they will get flogged by geelong anyways so why not have an extra 3 weeks on holidays ???

He'd have to fuck a team mates wife to be that good?

Some really poor ref decisions last night, at least 24 pts went to the roos for piss weak calls. They winge like soccer players.

They've done well to get this far, but here's hoping it's a decent GF... Geelong & Port

Posted by Dean Millson on Sep-16-2007 01:08:

Hahahaha, it's called taking your opportunities when they are presented Kel. Hawthorn got just as many frees in front of goal last night and couldn't convert when it counted. The only whinging i've witnessed in the last 24 hours is you

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Sep-16-2007 02:12:

there is an article in the age today about chris judd apparently telling west coast that he will be moving back to victoria so he can be with friends and family.

if this is true let the bidding war commence.

good luck with that soups how exactly are you going to fit him in your salary cap and who would you trade to west coast?

& only a roos supporter would say that

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Sep-16-2007 06:17:

there's no doubt the roos outplayed us, but i agree with kel- some fucking weak free kicks given in the forward 50 in favour of north.

Posted by drew k on Sep-16-2007 06:42:

we just got shutdown and couldn't get going.. probably happened 3-4 times this year (st kilda game being the similar game)... AC will address this and we'll be right i hope..

dont think dicko, smith, jacobs will be there next year.

on another note, i hate port and north equally but north are no good and should get belted next week

No good? So what does that make Hawthorn? Clarkson & Co. need to stop reading their own hype because for a team with so much apparent talent they lack a fair amount of heart. For a team that's no good you could do a lot to learn from how North plays footy. Regardless of what happens next week North showed up Hawthorn last night for what they are. Back to the drawing board...
