on the tobacco warehouse poster, it did state the show as being from 5pm - 11pm exactly...so we may be outta luck

Posted by phuzzyfish12 on May-09-2007 05:02:

^^^ I hope not...that would suck. Oh well we'll just have to wait and see.

Posted by 1drp4fn on May-09-2007 07:20:

actually it says 4-11, but you know armin will do his best

Posted by Yan on May-09-2007 07:52:

i hope your right
even if its supposed to end at 10 it will go a lil later
armin dont care
like that time in oct at crobar he was supposed to be done at 5
cause of the curfew he told the bouncer iam not gettin off and he played till 5:30

where does it say that?? Also, what happens if it rains on that day?? It doesn't state on the flyer.."rain or shine" like PVD's flyer.

Posted by AY STAR on May-09-2007 13:09:

yea i was just gonna say that
it says doors open at 4
but armin came on at 5

"It's my body and I do what I want!" Seriously though, Armin says he prefers 5+ hour sets so I really feel like he's gonna do what he wants to do.

Posted by AY STAR on May-09-2007 20:12:

as for the capcity for this place wow
i just got this book about nyc and it shows mccarren park like when it first opened and it been closed for years but in 05 they were supposed to make it back into a pool but that fell threw so now its just used for concerts
but the largest attendence they had for one day was 15,000 it was for some kinda french play or somethin

Posted by phuzzyfish12 on May-09-2007 20:17:

So you mean to tell me that this place holds 15,000 people and the $30 advance tickets sold out in hours. This really bothers me. I am sorry but I really enjoy Armin but everything about this event seems to screw the fan over, further into BK, one night instead of 2, shorter set and now the jacked up prices. It upsets me I have never been disappointed in Made Events but this time I am.

Posted by stan229 on May-09-2007 20:18:

Doing some research/googling: the capacity of it is 5500

Posted by AY STAR on May-09-2007 20:20:

maybe the part made event is haveing it in only holds 5 thousand
but maybe the other event was for the whole park
i dunno iam just goin by wat the book says

Posted by chimera66 on May-09-2007 21:37:

this is craziness

LOL, I dont think 15000 ppl care for Armin in all of North America, let alone NYC.

^^^^ Walid do you ever write anything nice??? All your posts and threads are negative. If you don't like Armin then don't post in here. I personally like Armin I am just upset by how the event is being handled it has nothing to do with the DJ!!!!!

LOL, take a chill pill Mere. We all know MADE puts up the limited $30 tix to make it look like they are "HOOKING THE PUBLIC UP" but then it runs out. Im sure they never release more than 150-200 pre-sales in most cases. Same with all of the other events, like PVD for ex. You always see the cheapest tix go out in like a day. Oh well, I suppose some cheap pre-sales are better than none. Personally, as cool as the venue looks, it just aint worth $40 not including the $6 Vitamin Water and beer u will have to buy in order to enjoy a fun day in the sun. ITS A FUCKIN PARK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. But hey, as long as ppl like AVB, they will support.

Posted by PvDoBseSSioN on May-09-2007 23:29:

we can bitch all we want about price but fact of the matter is, its extremely expensive to book armin and a big venue like that, plus with all the preperations like the stage, lighting, audio, security.... its gets pricey and why would they wanna lose money??

$40 is about right but this kind of event

Posted by Marcin777 on May-09-2007 23:32:

lol i'll say it again,

TO Made-Event: NOOOO Brooklyn Brewery this time. please!!!!

no offense but if $10 dollars is stretching it for you then you probably shouldn't be going out anyway, you should be saving that cash.

Thanks for the financial advice

It has to do with principal if the matter....at one point in time Made Events was for the people, $10 events for DJ's like PvD. I have been to concerts for less money that have given me a lot more. I spent $30 for tickets to go to the HORDE festival and saw Blues Travelers and legands like Neil Young and Crazy Horse. I bought tickets just this summer to see Dave Matthews Band and THE WAILERS (in case you don't know who they are its from BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS) and those tickets where $40 dollar's and it is a show of 6 hours.

Oh and since you know so much about me, being my financial advisor and all, I am NOT going to this event I made the choice based on no matter how much I paid $30 or or $300 it wasn't worth it for me.

And I NEVER said I couldn't afford the "extra" $10 I said I DIDN'T want to pay it....so get your shit straight!!!
