1.5 hours like last year is prob your best bet. he'll close out friday night. he didnt do so well though.. brings too much commercial shit into the mix.

nope.. too many artists on the main stage. friday starts at 4pm so theres less time to squeeze them all in.

Really? Maybe i missed it but if he was and isnt now, that sucks. Day 1 is really lacking for my tastes.

As for tiesto - imo his sets get worse and worse every show. Makes no sense. Oakie rebounded last year and tore it up, wonder if tiesto can do the same - but i just dont see that happening. Tiesto can put a stampede to rest with the slow proggyness in his sets lately. He used to be more trance like and faster - yes it was probably more commercial but it didnt put me to sleep, and that is what he was known for. Now, he is like every other proggy dj. I heard his TE set was good and somewhat classic with tracks like nyana, etc. I need to check that out and see. But he will probably do an hour and a half to two, if they dont fuck up with his light dj setup thing. They spent 30 minutes trying to fix that, WHO CARES.

WOW. That is a damn good set. If he pulls this off at Ultra my level of respect for the man might be back up - that is all depending on his mixing as well. If the mixing between tracks are 6 minutes all the time no matter how good the set is its zzzz for me. If he mixes well, with that setlist... Fuck yea!

he wont play that set or anything like it. not at ultra, not at mansion, not in the US. the days of tiesto playing a killer set died when he severed ties with Space and LP

I agree. But that is the same with many for some reason. The european sets are so different. Yea, so they change the set to work with what the people want and tastes overall vary from country to country, but djs shoudnt do that as much, i mean in the end, they are known for how they started, not where they are at right now. To many people, tiesto is what that set is from TE, and not his sets in the states. Many djs conform just the same. Amazing in europe or latin america, etc. but crap in the states. Its a shame

pvd was better than tiesto by far but i wasnt impressed with his set either.

I was actually really impressed with pvd last year. He wasnt proggressive at all and stuck to upbeat anthem like tracks. It works great for festivals. For festivals and massives the style should be upbeat even more than at clubs where a flow is important. At a massive, just let it all go from start to finish as the set isnt that long. So for PVD last year i give him high marks. Just hope his live set this year wont kill it since i wasnt a fan much of the new cd - really slow cd. Live is great, i am the one pushing for live sets and what not, but that cd wasnt my thing.

Some have probably noticed this by now, but in case anyone does NOT know yet - there are indeed going to be individual day tickets going on sale "shortly". At least according to a link I passed by while pricing the available 2 day tickets.

Add a 24 dollar service fee and a 10-11 dollar UPS shipping cost. That puts the Saturday tix at 124 a piece. guess i'm driving to south beach to get em for 110..
