Flyers may be a better pick, that WASH-PHI series (best series so far, imo) is taking a toll on them. The Rangers, on the other hand, will be rested. They are a dangerous mix of grit and skill and clutch players (Drury, Shanahan, Jagr & Straka), plus Avery may feast on Carey Price

just did a rough count: 4-0 vs PHI and 1-3 vs NYR. Of course since these teams see each other so much during playoffs, adjustments are then made & these reg season stats become less significant.

All signs still point to more success against Philly

The rioting is both funny and sad at the same time. Round 1 should start Thursday, at home in Montreal, regardless of our opponent. Flyers last game is tonight, so they'll have 48hrs rest before Thursday (today's Tuesday )

I like Philly. Their D is SLOW besides Timonen/Coburn. Their goalie is unproven (Biron), though anyone could say that our goalie is unproven too. I think our fast forwards could have a field day with their slow defencemen, hello Derian Hatcher!

Flyers have two decent lines. Knuble is injured so that's good. Briere will have the entire Bell Center booing him a la Chara, so that's at least some extra pressure. Upshall, Prospal, Richards are all decent threats.

Rangers have two-three SOLID lines!! And with big time playoff experience! Jagr, Shanahan, Drury, Gomez have all won cups. Throw in troublemaker Avery, Dubinsky, Strake and you have some crazy potential there. Their goalie is also top notch. Defence is so-so, but Rozsival and Staal are solide.

So overall, LET'S GO FLYERS! Though regardless, we shouldn't pick our team. We should be able to beat any team. If you can't do that, you're not worthy to continue to the Cup.

actually i think dealing with that pest would be great for his development as a hockey player. A true champion overcomes all obstacles and if he doesn't he gets back up and learns from them.

carey will be our man for a long time to come, all experience garnered at such a young age can only benefit him and us. 7th game playoff experience at 20 in the biggest pressure city in the nhl = and you can't beat dat wit a bat
