Oakenfold has been asked many times. He has no clue what the track was and he has so many records it would be impossible for him to find it.

| On the flip side, who's to say that there isn't an art in finding and being able to access many samples from many records, knowing which will work with each other. In my opinion, the art of sampling can be considered a fine art in some cases, such as DJ Shadow. DJ Shadow is known for his elaborate record collection and knowledge of each record. He can orchestrate things with his records that would just blow you away. He knows instrumentals, where to loop them, where a drum break that will fit a track exists, what narration and samples will fit on that track. well i mean he could have just recieved it in 99 right before the show, played it because it was new and fresh, and tossed it in the pile...

Originally posted by Nou You have to remember, that shadow is a scratch dj, they search and search and collect those records... so they know them more than most other DJ's. Dance DJ's get hundreds of records a month from labels, individuals, etc... so they really go through alot of records and dont know whats what with some of them.
I keep listening to the EM World Tour sets a lot, damn I wish so much that Lex was released

Originally posted by Nou Did I say that? It sounds like your looking for a fight? His record collection is more suited to what he would use as a SCRATCH DJ, it dont matter what he produces thats something totally diffrent. I dont know what your really trying to prove...
Take all the drugs away from Oakey, then force him to remember the song name

Originally posted by Trancer-X What I'm trying to prove is that if Oakey really had a serious love for his music he would remember what that track was in his Rojam set. It was one of the major highlights of his Essential Mix world tour and he doesn't remember it? I'm sorry but I don't buy that.
I have spoken to the guy who made 'Lex - Vertical Horizon' and he said that he hasn't got any copies of this, because it was never finished. He also promised to send me some of his other work and never bothered. He ran a label called Hard Discs, which released a Planet Heaven tune.
Don't forget that Oakey has had his record box stolen quite a few times in the past. There may have been some real gems in there, including maybe the only copy of track 9 ????
well the guy that did that track,,
wouldnt he have known how big the track got? but then we gotta realise, if we all knew the name to that track, it wouldnt be so big and we wouldnt keep talking about ' that ' track with no id
mmm perhaps some of u guys can reproduce that track? lol since the guy who did it doesnt seem to care, lol
or remix it and call it,, ID ( watever mix )
I emailed Slacker's manager and she confirmed that Slacker's "Goddam Noize" was never put on vinyl. It is currently on the release schedule though so you can look for it in the future on Jukebox In The Sky.
She said that the version Oakenfold and Sasha played was unfinished and that the FINISHED version would be released. I asked her if the exact version Oakenfold and Sasha played will be put on the flipside and I am awaiting a response.

this thread proves the non existance of the supernatural mix, so, i suggest we list it as "Tilt - Invisible (Tilt's Supernatural Dub) with acapella" or something
isnt that supernatural one otherwise known was Tilt's Human Mix ?

Originally posted by DragonsEmerald It doesn't really matter if he finds it or not anyway. This track was done by an amateur from Germany, only about 20 copies were sent out. This track has never been signed to a label and never will be, so it would be impossible to find even after having the track title (if it was even named). The only possibility would be to get a high quality recording of the track from vinyl.

Borrow & rip
Good news for everyone who liked Slacker's "Goddam Noize", I just received an email from the manager of Slacker's record label and she told me "Goddam Noize" will be in shops in the end of June. "Tutikinegi" will be on the flipside. The original version of "Goddam Noize" will NOT be part of this vinyl release, BUT it WILL be available exclusively in the Jukebox In The Sky webshop mid July.

What else was on the reaction sheet?? If he can remember. Any info, no matter how obscure, might help.
