thought it was mostly average. and the re-creation of comic scenes might've pleased the comic book fans but they felt a little forced or obvious to me.

was still worth seeing though.

God I don't even know where to begin... Let me start by saying if you see this movie in the theatre you deserve a kick in the groin. Secondly this movie wasn't even worth the free download and deleted it as soon as it had finished. Horrible! Horrible movie! The sucky part is that it's one of those shit movies that had the potential of being "good" Shit should have been a hour and a half for starters. New actors for silk, night owl, they were seriously the most grueling characters I have ever seen in a movie. And God the sound track are you fucking kidding me! Not every fucking scene needs a mother fucking song for fucks sake!

"will you please tell me how it ends?" Yes dr manhattan tell me how it fucking ends cause I wanted to stop watching this fucking movie 50 minutes ago!

What did you think about the "movie" and remember we are talking about a "movie" Not some "comic" that so many hold near and dear to their shitty little hearts This movie should've been made in 1991 then it would have been decent.

Posted by Aortik on Mar-11-2009 15:04:

I haven't seen the movie yet.

And the graphic novel was really, really important. I think you should read it, if you haven't.

I read the cliff notes, I'm good on that dog *puff*

Go read the book.

Comics while high are pretty amazing.

The one thing that has bothered me about the movie from its very inception is the colours they seem to be throwing around - it looks all dark and sort of monochrome, as if it's some sort of sleek update of Watchmen rather than an adaptation in order to attract the people obviously unaware of the significance of colours in this story. 'It worked for Batman' seems to be the logic there.

The comic was drawn in a somewhat generic style, but it used a variety of reds and pinks and yellows - bright, warm colours. This juxtaposed with the themes of the story immensely. It gave an uneasy air of comfort to an otherwise nihilistic story, as if to say that no matter how cheery and kitschy the world appears at times, how vital and dangerous the brink of war and terror may be in spite of this, there exists a gulf of emptiness and despair beneath the sheen of society and every human endeavor, no matter how noble - or deplorable - it may very well be.

But keep in mind all I have seen are previews and small segments from the film, so perhaps I am totally off.

I understood what the costumes were trying to symbolize but they just looked so retarded. I expected to see BAM POW show up on the screen during fights because they looked like 50's batman get ups. I realize they are suppose to look goofy but half the time I was focused on how stupid night owl and silk looked that I never connected to their characters at all. Granted they were both miscast horribly.

Someone should make a cut of the movie only dealing with the Comedian, Rorschach, less Dr. Manhattan, and more Veidt(if there is more footage). It was suppose to be a huge twist that it was Veidt trying to kill people but he had so less screen time compared to Manhattan's cock that the audience didn't care. Totally taking Silk and Owl out of the movie would have been great and focusing more on Rorschach would have made the movie good.

I completely agree with you couldn't have said it better myself. I disagree on your point about the costumes though.

Not enough DJs getting admitted to psychiatric clinics in the movie?

I already gave my reasons for hating it. In all honesty it could have been really decent. I just should've stopped watching an hour into it.
