Could you do me a favour and provide a perma-link Stu? The connection at this house is too shitty, keeps cutting out before I can finish the upload.

Will do mate, should be up in about half an hour.

Edit: Direct link added to your post.

I liked the hip-house in Bas' collection. Might we ever get to hear a whole set of the stuff from him in the future?

Posted by pzK on Apr-06-2010 11:58:

Wow, lovely mix. I just love your closing track.

Ditto.

Is this about my mix? If so, thanks. If not, accept my apologies for trampling over someone else's praise.

Cool. Have really enjoyed all your other mixes, interested to see how this pans out!

Maybe, I have a lot

The only problem is that the majority of it all sounds the same and even uses a lot of the same samples.

I'll grab sunsurge's at work tomorrow

This mix seriously needs more replies. I open this game up to someone less well-known and nobody is willing to even give it a listen? I may as well shit-can the game as soon as I've finished inviting all the usual TA suspects, if that's how unadventurous you're all going to be.

It's not even as though this mix is out of line with what many people here like. It's a great set. Have some balls, people.

Sorry I haven't grabbed it yet. My computer headphones have been broken, and my new ones are in the mail, but for the next week or so I won't have a chance to listen to it. My apologies mate. I've loved all your Windmill Sessions mixes, can't wait to hear this

Posted by enydo on Apr-14-2010 18:12:

I have it downloaded, just haven't listened yet.

I'm terrible at this, I know.

Just listened to the mix, excellent work Mr. Mystery. Really drives home some of my old time favorites that got me into EDM in the first place

*stands behind System-J looking forlorn*

Crank up the sympathy vote.

I've been meaning to listen to it sunsurge but haven't got around to it yet - give me a couple of days!!
Sykonee I've only been through yours once but it didn't really grab me, sorry. I'll give it another go though.

Posted by Lews on Apr-18-2010 22:07:

Okay, finally got some new headphones and gave it a download. Soon as I get through this 6 hour Sasha set, yours is next on my radar

I love sunsurge's chilled trancey mixes. I remember he always used to use Mango tracks for some reason.

Gonna give this one a go.

Posted by montana on Apr-19-2010 08:50:

ye, sunsurge, downloaded yours a while back, forgot to comment about it. like it alot, tunes & mixing was nice really. the transition of tears for fears into mobetta bugged me first since you flowed everything nicely and it was just a simple change, but it made more sense on the second listen.

Jeez, I did play a lot of Mango tracks didn't I! Still, he was insanely prolific and consistent a few years ago. Less so now, but that is another matter.

Thanks for taking the plunge.

Thanks man. Appreciate the comments.

And yes the transition (brickwall slam ) into Mobetta is stark but it was intended to be that way to initiate the ending sequence of trancier tracks. Tears of Fears actually mixed into Mobetta would have been Bizarro land. Thanks again.

Plastikman - Spastik from Jupiterone's set uses the exactly same snares Marcel Wood's has in this first track from his Trance Energy 2004 set...ask me for a sample.

Posted by Lews on Apr-24-2010 09:01:

Okay so I've downloaded the file like three or four times and is something wrong with the file? I don't understand what's going on. The entire set is sort of bubbly and crackly =/

I'm guessing that that isn't on purpose?

*confused*

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Apr-24-2010 11:51:

I'm getting an alternate link for you now.

EDIT: Alt-link posted.

Posted by Lews on Apr-25-2010 05:50:

Thanks Jack.

Downloading now, hope to give it a listen in the next few days

Just listened to sunsurge's mix and it's fucking ace. Kinda with Montana on the one transition, although I'm not sure if I liked it even on the second go-around. Overall though the set was outstanding.

Thanks kind sir.

Probably do agree with you with that transition now after quite a few listens. If I were to do it again perhaps a bit of filler ambience would be a way to polish the seams. Cheers for the listen and the encouraging response.
