Ha, I did the same thing. And even when I bought my first CDs I recorded my favorite songs from them to a cassette, often doing some childisch "presentation" or even some MCing in between. Too bad I threw them all away, ripping one would make the greatest upload in the DJ Promotions forum of all time. OF ALL TIME!

When I was little my mom made mix tapes of stuff she thought I might like, mostly '80s stuff. I also recorded tapes from the radio. Sitting there with my finger on the "record" button waiting for that song I wanted.

No you're not, this 35 old one likes it too. (And I don't like all PvD tracks.)
Sometimes I imagine what if this track was played in '96 or something like that. I bet we would have loved it.

I consider many vocal trance tracks nowadays as the alternative for tracks like this which were popular in the mid 90's. They are Eurodance, but have trance elements (synths). Tracks also got remixed like the DJ Taucher version of Pay no mind.

The number of artist who added vocals is long, it's not just Armin, Tiesto and PvD. Without the vocals I bet I like most of these tracks too.
At the end I think a producer wants to hear his tracks everywhere and not just somewhere in a dark hole...

Looking at this thread, I'm sooooo glad I wound up on TA...I started a couple years ago on Tiesto, I'd hate to see what would have happened.

That's not to say that trance isn't my main choice, but I appreciate and support all sorts of good prog, techno, and tech-house that I found through people here. And, of course, I found a lot of interest in the older stuff too.

Thanks TA, for somewhat keeping me from being a complete trancecracker

Your a lost cause then I don't mind what your listening too and for my part i don't care, as everyone have their personal tastes but that late in the twenties i don't think it's a big chance you will widen your knowledge any further into the space of electronic music than that your already listening too. Gave a shot of the youtube links you linked. The first one was actually OK for a hardtrance track. I've heard much worse!

My classmate has really shittaste in dancemusic, the hardstyle eurodance shit. He's actually more into rock and pop. I don't feel it's worth knowing people with shittaste in dancemusic, it's just a waste of social energy.

Would be funny if it were the other way around. If you wound up on HouseAddict.com instead you would be listening to farttrance still
