Wait, Jay, you're saying you'd rather have a 6'0 defenseman than a 6'8 one who skates like he's 6'0? Myers is a year younger too. I doubt their coaches will let that kind of talent go to waste.

And the goalie of my school's lacrosse team was in my fraternity. He got a cracked tibia from a shot once I don't know how those guys wear no padding on their legs.

yes i would take Subban over Myers.

Subban is a better all around player. Myers is great too, but can't control the tempo of the game quite the same.

They both are great players.

Pk can skate around the ice for 2 minutes stick handling around everyone. Myers, not so much....

Apparently this is the most dangerous sport. They use a goatskin covered ball that's harder than a golf ball, and the world record for a shot has been clocked at over 180mph.

Nice. To be honest I don't really follow hockey all that much outside of the Sabres, and I'd never heard of either of those two players before today. I just think Myers size is such an asset for a defender. It makes it that much more difficult for players to get around him (as he's a great skater too) and his reach is pretty ridiculous. I do kind of wish he could develop a better shot though. With his size, it'd be nice to have the added offensive threat of someone blasting a 100mph slapshot from the top of the circle.

I still remember watching this game though

Eager acted like a douchebag at the end of the game. that's all i have to say about the game.

TIMMAY!

I was hearing a report today on sports talk radio that everyone in Canada outside of Vancouver hates Vancouver.

Wonder if that's accurate

Posted by srussell0018 on May-25-2011 21:58:

I like Luongo if that counts. I don't really care about hockey once my team is eliminated though. Are the playoffs still even going on? Somebody win the cup already.

everybody outside of *insert city here* in canada hates each other solely because of the distance and 0 in common between major cities....except montreal, because without montreal, no one in canada would have sex...at least with good looking people.

No you dont. Trust me, you dont. But hockey playoffs have been reasonably good to me, I know next year ill lose a fuck ton of money since ive been running really well the last 3 playoff years.

sometimes i wonder if canadians love hockey because it's part of their being or because they have the ability to bet on it...i enjoyed nfl the year i "bet" on it
