I think that was a failed attempt at humor.

| GQ: I feel like really since the end of season one, almost every single episode just gradually ratchets up, each more intense than the last. Without giving away whatever you can't give away, does it Aaron Paul: Jesse dies. GQ: Right, exactly. Jesse dies in between; season starts with a casket. But things are keeping pace? Aaron Paul: They are. They just keep raising the bar; they really do, I can honestly say that. |
WTF
Originally Jesse was supposed to die early on in the series, but they ended up keeping him.
Walt trying to be all badass is kind of annoying. I don't really see him as a protagonist role at all.
That's the point. His role has evolved from the good guy to the villain. The deeper he digs himself into this situation, the more evil he has to become.
Right, and I don't buy him as "evil."
I'm still rooting for him
I'm not. Jesse and Mike are way better characters imo.

Yeah. Jesse beating the shit out of him was my favorite part of last season.
Walt's transformation is the driving engine of the show. Jesse's character has far less depth, and Mike even less than him. I like them both, don't get me wrong, but Walt's adherence to the idea of family first mixed with his ego born of being so intelligent and having been trampled on since before the beginning of the show is the focus. I'm not saying that has to be anyone's favorite part of it, but that is the central theme.
Walt's character would have never even been possible without Jesse. He's just as important to the show, regardless of whether he's the "main" character or not. He needed Jesse from the very beginning, and has needed him ever since. Walt would be dead right now if it weren't for Jesse, and that's been true for quite awhile.
And the same is true on the other side. Jesse needs Walt just as much as Walt needs Jesse.
Loved every bit of the new episode. Wish we could just fast forward a week to see the next one
Great start to the season.

Damn I was almost certain Mike was gunna kill that lady... This shits getting complicated.
Yeah Mike is a boss.
Though I'm pretty sure his decision is going to spell out for some serious trouble down the road. Then again, all of his money for his grand-daughter is effectively gone, so what could he do?
Providing for families is a great motivator.
One of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen.
i'm just playing catch up here.
just watched season 3 episode 7.
crazy!
Do yourself a favor and stop reading this thread. It keeps getting better
With each passing episode I think "what a fuckin great show." I haven't had this sort of experience with TV before: being so interested in the characters from week to week.
