RA's top album list is kinda blah.

Also, srussell, I'm friends with Adam on facebook as well, and while he does post images of the events he's involved with (as does EVERY other DJ/promoter on facebook), it never came across to me as spam. Dunno what you're talking about.

I'll play in Rochester for nothing more than a garbage plate from Tahou's :P

It's kind of funny since you pride yourself on being "right" all the time.

I know you won't do any of it, because you'll look like a fool if you go and fulfil my prediction. I do that to stop bullshit posters doing their usual bullshit and make them come up with a proper reply for a change.

Edit: In addition to that, I think it's perfectly relevant to point out that big name DJs have been coming to this city recently.

It isn't.

But of course.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Dec-14-2012 18:54:

No, you're right. I'm utterly autistic and when I make fun of someone for something they're about to do, I fully expect them to follow through and do it anyway.

Posted by srussell0018 on Dec-14-2012 19:02:

You do come off as somewhat autistic. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. While more eloquent, you have a lot of similarities with L4C who has admitted to having aspergers.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Dec-14-2012 19:14:

You know, if I were an idiot this would be an effective way of distracting my attention from your idiot non-logic in attempting to eviscerate Adam. Luckily I'm not an idiot, and you are. Although apparently I'm autistic. First thing Monday morning I'll be inquiring as to any state benefits or free meds I can accrue with my new-found condition. In the meantime, you'll still be running your mouth and making a fool of yourself.

J00F man, J00F.

I agree with this 100%

Yeah. Heard quite a few of them already, and from the ones I have, only John Talabot's album really deserves to be up there. Somewhat surprised they didn't include Scuba's album, which is surely going to be remembered as a 2012 classic far more than most of that list.

Posted by Woony on Dec-14-2012 19:34:

A lot of people (especially his old fans I guess) didn't like it because he kind of went for an album of borderline cheesy bigroom anthems. I'm not saying it's bad but it's a style for a particular group of people.

Out of that list my favorites probably are Lee Gamble, Villalobos and Voices From The Lake.

Actress, Andy Stott and John Talabot I didn't really get. On the techno front, Shed, Robert Hood and Silent Servant were kind of dissapointing.

Not sure why Claro Intelecto didn't make it. At least nice to see Smallpeople on the list, quality Deep House.

right....so its just "plong" now ... not minimal anymore??

it seemed you were saying that hawtin is stuck in minimal mode from when minimal was big back there a few years ago - the few times ive seen him recently hes been anything but minimal, maybe the odd "plong" here and there ill give you that

what i will say is that i havent seem him this year but the couple of 2012 sets ive found on the net havent been great :-/

for techno (or maybe i should say big-room tech-house??) Drumcode is where its at at the moment......for me anyway.....

It's just funny that the one supplied video, in an effort to prove the contrary, the 30-minute mark has literal plinky-plonk going on.

LITERALLY!

You guys hate on my posts but if I wasnt making them this forum would be a ghost town.

Just because I dont write doctoral thesis every time I express an idea (like System-Jesus for example) doesnt mean that my threads are invalid.

P.S. fuck you all

Have a good weekend!

Posted by Redd on Dec-14-2012 22:25:

where is the hate?

Posted by Bierheld on Dec-14-2012 23:03:

Quality over quantity Marky.

All you're doing lately is opening threads about some record with a vid and a new way of formulating how you like said record in one line of text.

It's not very interesting. You like it, you don't, there's very little to discuss. You're not going to attract new users like that, especially not the few lost tranceheads who are the only group likely to ever stumble across this forum.
Not trying to blame this whole thing on you btw, just saying a lack of activity doesn't automatically warrant flooding the forum with poorly contrived topics.

this world is fucked up brethren. people can't lay their heads at night before hating on 10 different people during the day. it's what makes the world go round.

Posted by Bierheld on Dec-14-2012 23:29:

No one hates Mark Anthony, he's like the most laid-back and lovable character in this place. We just laugh at his overall silliness and stupidity.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Dec-14-2012 23:59:

Mattsanity and Mark Anthony are the same person, anyway.

Posted by Bierheld on Dec-15-2012 00:18:

Maybe, very similar writing style.
