Kinda wish I was there. Solid set...even

Such a difference when Armin changes from his "commercial, big room, car alarm" style into "whos afraid of 138" style. Sounds like two different djs!

Posted by Acuariano1951 on Mar-25-2013 00:42:

It sounds like an ID track

17. Ciro Visone - First Coming (Ian Standerwick Remix.)

The best half of the set and no video. Blerg!

Which one does he want to be though thats the question? If you listen to him he seems to suggest he wants to be the latter. His sets say he wants to be the former.

I think after Den Bosch he will decide either way or what will be his dominant sound for the future.

Daft Punk - Revolution 909 (ID) or what? ID anyone sounded like Aly & Fila

Posted by gizzymcg on Mar-25-2013 00:48:

Thats a superb mash up to be fair

It's probably more a case of having his cake and eating it i.e. wanting both. His album will probably open even more doors for him towards the mainstream, but he'll still want to play the uplifting stuff that he has in his heart and loves.

I think that like Markus, Armin excels when he has longer sets and can play across the board. Armin Only shows are when he's at his best.

And right on cue, a bit of Airport Shivers.

18. Photographer - Kervansaray

vs. Higher State Of Consciousness I think?

You guys need to stop bitching about Armin's Djing, there is a reason he selects the tracks he does, it creates a special atmosphere and journey. If you play only uplifting for an hour and a half the it gets old and flat just like if you play electro house or whatever it gets boring. He creates a journey where he builds to a climax and that's why he is number one. I feel like so many of you don't get that. having said that i do wish the uplifting part of his set were longer.

In my opinion, he will remain like this. Doing 1 hour cheesy stuff and 1 hour trancier stuff, like he's been doing lately.

Maybe i'm wrong. Again, im just giving my opinion xD. i'm relatevely new here but of what i've seen of you guys it's that we all like trancy stuff (tranceaddict forums, lol), but let's face it, he ain't producing trancy stuff, at least "what it feels like" isnt trance >.<.
