it looks like a KVM switch to me (so you can run multiple computers off of one Keyboard, Video, and Mouse)

Umm, that isnt at all true. Techno isnt the same bpm, it would be false to say the same thing about Trance aswell. To do 3 decks is not an easy feat, especially for 3 hours.

I like that mixer... small compact... and clean. As well, it's a Pioneer...and pretty amazing. Anything more than that... I use @clubs.

did you actually stay behind him for a set and see what he does??

im not saying he doesnt mix at all

but i would bet 1000$ that his tracks are re-recorded to have similar bpms

i never see him touch the pitch

He used the pitch quite a bit when I saw him, I was right up front, 3 feet away from him, when I saw him.

i was all night behind him in the booth @ Aria and at swirl... and i seriously didnt see him touch the pitch....

He didnt touch the pitch alot, but he played many of his own tunes/remixes so, he doesnt hafto do much for those.

He also brought a record bag w/ 100+ or so records, and was playing them alot.

yes chris has a library of mp3's that are all at the same bpm

he always use 3 decks, 2 on final scracth and one for vynil

of course he has to touch the pith at some point for the vynil

and even if all the tracks on mp3 are all the same bpm he has to do minor ajustments with the pitch

you will never see him touch the platter tho

minor ajustments with the pitch and with the center pin and thats it

but having song at the same bpm doesnt mean he his not a good dj

this guy is technicly one of the best dj ive seen

he his using many many effects machine to customize nealy all the song's he plays

he often use a kaoss pad and a air fx

he has 2 laptop's: one for final scratch and another that run's ableton that is connected to a midi sampler back in his xone 92


how do i know all that?

hes always travelling witha sound guy that prepares all this stuff for him and i talked to this guy last time i saw him live in montreal

he was a really nice guy and so was chris

so next time funkenlouis tells you something about a dj listen to him since he get's to see and talk to more dj's that you will ever imagine in you crazyest dreams

.. just and observation.. is it me or do most of us use IKEA furniture to put our set up on?? .... something to make u go UM?
