nothing revolutionary and new for 2009, thinking of maybe skating some (rollerblading or ice skating) and possibly make use of my tennis racket by taking lessons. still plan on being in the gym 4 or 5 days a week.
got a lotta workout equipment for home for xmas presents this year. HOPEFULLY switching things up with the new stuff will accelerate my weight loss and fitness levels! <3 cant wait to give it a go!
went back to the gym today:
ran 1 mile
3 sets of 5 pullups
1 set of 20 leg lifts in cap't chair
held 10 lb weight above head for 2 mins
held 25 lb weight above head for 2 mins
held 10 lb weight above head for 2 mins
1 set of 20 leg lifts in cap't chair
1 set of 5 pullups.
not really a lot - but more of focusing on the shoulders, i suppose. just did the leg stuff for randomness, i s'pose. but it all felt good.
Held weight above your head? Not sure that I have seen that one before, but I guess if your going for a burn it probably works. The only way to gain muscle is to stress muscle fibers and the only way to do that is through stretching them with weight (which for shoulders is at the bottom of the lift) so holding weights above your head seems to be a waste of time. You would be much better off doing shoulder presses while pausing at the bottom of the lift...just a suggestion.

Just returned from a 19,1 km (just under 12 miles) run, nicely paced at 11 kmh. Chose a nice route through the countryside, resulted in some nice views with the temperatures just below freezing point.
Form is returning, might do a half marathon or two in the coming month or two.

| Originally posted by basd I must say it didn't feel as cold as it actually was, and besides that, usually only the first 5-10 minutes are cold, after that you're warmed up enough not to feel the cold anymore. |
I always prefered the cold, it forced me to keep a good pace to get back to the house quicker, although the cold has been proven to negatively affect results due to the opposing contraction force it has on muscles which are trying to expand during exercize.

Anyone know if its better to combine the 2 products or just stick to 1 of them? I'm also looking for some cheaper products as these cost nearly 40 quid each! Quite a lot for a 1 month supply ![]() Oh well time to start again |

Get some whey, and a multivitamin...this is all u need. Eat lots of protein, healthy fats like whole eggs, olive oil, coconut oils, and limit carbs. Stick to Low GI carb sources. |

| Originally posted by XaNaX i wasn't suggesting you juice, what I was saying is if you are going to spend that kind of money on supplements it might as well be on steroids or hgh which will actually result in gains vs. wondersupplement X which wont. either that or just save your money |
I did a little reading on it...looks like they sell it in different forms like powders, pills and such, but the most effective way is local injection, as it breaks down through the digestive system. It's yet another waste of money on anything other than injections, and u don't get big with it, but just a slight enhancement. The medical claim is 8.8% added muscle mass. Dunno how true that is.
I changed my diet this week and already lost 5 pounds without going to the gym. Fuck you, fat!

Eating mostly protein + good fats, lots of green leafy veggies, and cutting out most carbs. Not even eating fruit atm. Slowly gonna reintroduce carbs back into my diet and be more disciplined with when and how much I ingest. Also better portion control and eating small meals on a regular schedule.
