What were you expecting? I love this album compared to Just Be. This to me seems like a throwback to the older Tiesto style, obviously because it includes some older tracks on there. Best part about this album: no vocals .

Posted by Massive84 on Oct-16-2004 21:34:

does this album, have anything like suburban train or Obsession?

and don't give me the crap that tiesto didn't made those 2 allone. All i want is tunes like those 2 again, one of the reasons why trance is lacking every new year, because not one new tune has the emotion and feel like those 2.

Seconded. It reminds me a lot of tunes from 2000-2001.

After checking the samples out further (damned lack of funds), I can say that Heroes, Breda 8PM (DJ Montana Edit), Athena, and Coming Home will make regular appearances when I get them.

I will be looking forward for this release!
Tiesto was always an inspiration and he knows how to keep it top notch!

Unless something's changed, they, along with the CD, aren't released until the 18th, which is Monday.

You act like that's a good thing.

To those of us who liked those years, then yes, it is. Deal with it.

Ignore him, let him be high & mighty. He gets off on it.

Damn I just saw this is also available on Nebula for about HALF the price of the 4x12" version!!

Oh well blue and white vinyls look cool.

Tiesto's productions suck compared to his other stuff...

He used the same sounds from so much of the music from In My Memory...

But I guess he was limited by the guys in the olympics, and also the time he had....

1 or 2 nice tracks....

This album takes a while to get used to...

It's fucking annoying... get's u out of the "feel" for the music...

I can't believe Tiesto almost trainwrecked on an Album... Or was this directly Ripped off the AThen's opening ceremony? Either case, it's pretty shocking to converge on trainwrecks...

This album sucks. Just Be had some good tunes on it, especially 'Adagio For Strings' & 'Traffic'. But this new album is only for making money. There are only 2 or 3 trax that sounds OK for me, the rest is real crap. Especially Tiesto's version of Rollerball's Albinoni is so weak compared to the Above & Beyond workout on this track.
Tiesto should take a year without any release;; it would be better for 'em. Hate this Tiesto hype at the moment in every corner!!!

Posted by flavdave on Oct-22-2004 02:09:

I bought a promo copy at my local record store tonight, and I'm guessing the promo is exactly the same as the official release, save for the "licensed for promotional use only" tag stamped on the cd. The liner notes have a few pictures of the opening ceremonies, a letter from Tiesto talking about his experience, and a description of each track. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but Ancient History is a "free interpretation" of a song called "Zanaradikos" by Thrace. Tiesto said Montana made Breda 8PM as a birthday present. Also, Tiesto says Athena is his own interpretation of Albonini's "Adagio in G Minor" and it is one of his all-time favorite classical pieces and fit so well with the atmosphere in the stadium.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
just got the cd this morning. it sounds cool. i like the fact that many tracks on the cd have some greek elements and honestly i think
his set and the cd fit exactly with the olympic spirit and the the hole athens 2004 thing.
good job tiesto but you should have worked more on the tracks you produced and leave the remakes to your studio......
btw. Tiesto haters... get a life

Sorry, but he's not. It's obviously a matter of taste, not about being wrong or right.

I personally enjoy Tisto's Albinoni a lot more than Rollerball's and overall I'm actually enjoying this album more than Just Be.

I agree, ... the tracks are quite good, expecially 'Heroes', Athena and Olympic Flame!

So stop complaining you all, just buy it and like it or don't buy it and shut your heads
