Crazy laker trade rumors

looks like big chief triangle and kobe the g.m. are trying to stir the pot:
Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld.com reports... The Lakers are exploring a deal with the Hornets sending Jamaal Magloire and PJ Brown to LA for Caron Butler and ending contracts. Such a deal is not likely to be executed until after June when Magloire's base year compensation status expires. Such a deal would look something like Jamaal Magloire and PJ Brown for Caron Butler, Vlade Divac, Chucky Atkins and Jumaine Jones. Also in discussion is LA sending the 10th and 17th picks to New Orleans for the 4th pick in the draft.

As recently reported by Hoopsworld.com, the Lakers have agreed to a deal sending Devean George, Slava Medvedenko and the 37th pick to the Indiana Pacers for Jonathan Bender and the 17th pick.

and this one is for all the disgruntled blazers fans:
Hoopsworld.com, the Portland Trail Blazers are expected to send Ruben Patterson, the rights to Sergei Monia and the 3rd pick in the draft to the Utah Jazz for Gordan Giricek, Curtis Borchardt, Kirk Snyder and the 6th pick. What's not clear is if it's Borchardt AND Snyder or if it's Borchardt OR Snyder. Most likely both players will be needed in the deal to account for Patterson's trade kicker.

the hornets trade could be true, but very unlikely, since management has mentioned placing franchise tags on p.j. brown and 'big cat' maggloire .. then again, anything can happen ..

all i know is byron scott wants defensive players, not those who sh!t out of their mouth while sitting on the bench ..

one of the players that defined our generation and played his heart out for the past 10+ years has decided to finally hang it up

yes Shawn Bradley is hangin up his big ass shoes

he defined our generation cause of the constant posterized dunks on him. With his retirement expect to see various video montages of him being slammed on through his career .

THIS 7'6 GIANT will be missed for sure.We havnt seen a player with his game since Manute Bol.

so as somebody celebrates a title tonight, let us not forget the man, the legend....of getting posterized by dunks

SHAWN BRADLEY

the question during his whole career, should philly had drafted Grant Hill instead with the 2nd pick, fucked up ankle and all, many still say yes....

I will fondly remember his battles against such greats as Gheorge Muresan...damn those were the days(add sarcastic tone).only better matchups were maybe Sam Bowie vs. Danny Ferry

oh where are those lovely philly phans here to commemerate the retirement of shawn bradley .. he was CHOSEN by philly first .. .. oh those were the days .. was it stackhouse, bradley, and derrick coleman playing for philly ??

but congrats to the spurs of course .. big tops to their defense, and this finals series proves the point that defense wins championships as always ..

man if the rumours are true i feel really bad for Quentin Richardson for being banished to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas.Damn he finally got onto a good team and produced and now he gets to go to where the selfish point guard is...good luck getting touches Q

it's classic isiah thomas

seriously...what's the point when the knicks already have jamal crawford?

let's create a glut at tho SG position?

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on Jun-24-2005 22:47:

going to laugh my ass off if they don't get channing frye in the draft, since now they have no big man

i am hoping it is not true too ..

i am sorry to see what isaiah thomas is doing to the knicks .. he did a all-right job with the pacers .. but he is treating the knicks like his fantasy basketball team .. it's not going to work ..

if he gets richardson, then the knicks got :

jamaal crawford, allan houston ( ?? ), stephon marbury, frank williams, "penny" hardaway ( ) , and now richardson ..

not a good way to spread out the points ..
maybe thomas is thinking long term to get these guys to trade to another team for young draft picks ???

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on Jun-25-2005 00:59:

if he is playing a fantasy team i hope it isn't yahoo's roto league...he will never get points for rebounds..shooting percentage...etc..Penny is a free agent, and has publicly had the audacity to say he would like to come back to the magic....f%$# him..no thanks, hope the nickel just retires, even little penny thinks he sucks now.

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Jun-25-2005 02:48:

at the Knicks

I cant believe the draft is upon us already lol, so unlike the NFL.So whats up with this white dude Bogut...is he worth the 1st pick? Who has the 1st pick anyways is it the Hawks I think?
hey viber the Mavs are gonna have to draft a big man to replace the force that was SHAWN BRADLEY.......

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on Jun-25-2005 02:52:

safest pick in my opinion is Chris paul out of Wake forest. Bogut i think will be another Van Horn

true if the hawks have the 1st pick you d think theyd get Paul who played college ball there as well
EDIT: damn Im out of it today I just remembered Paul played for Wake Forest not Georgia Tech

the sad thing is that isiah is doing a better job than scott layden

Jarrett Jack is from Georgia tech..a very underrated playmaker.

Vern..isiah really should think about getting a coach soon,i would hope he would consider taking a chance on Eric Mussleman who has always been very good at maxing out players talents...Jamison and Gilbert Arenas owe him alot for their development and subsequent huge paydays.isiah will try and make the big splash though just to grab the backpages more than likely unfortunately

no way memphis is going to let musselman go .. they are going to max out his contract times 10 .. i don't know what golden state was thinking when they let musselman go .. .. but they got a good guy in mike montgomery (stanford) .. so we will see with them .. they did improve somewhat in the second half of the season, especially with the addition of that backstabber slut baron davis .. .. i hope he turns into a sheed wallace .. hahahaha .. kidding ..

but i think bogut will be a little better than bradley .. thank god!! .. i think his success will fall between brad miller and rik smits .. not as close as rik smits, because he was a very good player in the paint .. unfortunately, jordan robbed him of a couple of titles .. ... i see bogut as a 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.5 blocks guy .. nothing more .. (and yes jarrett jack is underrated .. haahhahaa)..

yeah .. MILWAUKEE has the first pick, then ATLANTA, then PORTLAND, then my hometown NEW ORLEANS ..

i don't think the hawks should get chris paul .. i think a guy like marvin williams would suit them better .. remember .. they still have the "ai" stopper tyronne lue .. .. and they have a promising guy royal ivey .. i see this guy getting more minutes next year compared to this year .. but with marvin williams, he will suit fine with al harrington, josh smith, tony delk, and drobnjak ( <== from seattle back then) ..

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jun-25-2005 13:30:

i guess if you guys are interested in what new orleans is thinking about for their 4th pick .. .. hahahha ..

they worked out with danny farmer (new mexico, and local hs grad here in the city also), raymond felton (unc), and deron williams (illinois).. they are stressing the points that they are looking for a point guard that can get to the basket ..

knowing byron scott wants defense, and i like this guy's philosophy, i have a feeling the hornets are going to choose deron williams .. he's a big body, and can suit well for the big western conference, especially against the pgs like bibby, nash, cassell, and etc ...

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-02-2005 03:36:

news just in ...

milwaukee finally opens their wallets, and offers michael redd a max contract ...

it would be funny if milwaukee has enough money in their payroll to also sign ray allen back to milwaukee, and they have bogut, allen, redd, and a questionable, but proven collegiete scorer t.j. ford .. and they have mike williams riding the bench .. that could be a good team ..

As a Blazers fan I'm pumped!!!! Alright, we got ourselves a good coach.

It's nice having the richest owner in professional sports.

Blazers might actually be something. Summer league started tonight boys for any that care. I like to see a look into the young guys, especially considering it's now the Trail Babies. Of course better than the Jail Blazers but we still have to get rid of more knuckleheads before that moniker is long gone.

Anyway, I'm happy tonight.. good choice.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jul-07-2005 13:51:

wow .. i guess the sonics management had to make a decision ..

mcmillian or ray allen ??

i guess they chose ray allen, and let mcmillian go .. looks like they think coaches come and go as they please, but players are lifers on a team ..

but good luck with portland with mcmillian .. i think there will be happy times now with mcmillian running the boat ..
