Milan was lucky.

Lyon needs to practice how to finish.

Score really should have been the other way around.

a great Sheva..hope that Milan don't repeat as the last year match in Instambul. I'll keep watchin ya

Posted by zoric on Apr-04-2006 21:03:

I wasn't watching the whole game, but I'll have to admit that Lyon was a little better the small parts I saw.

Anyways, Milan scored the goals and Ambrosini in, Pirlo out made Milan more secure on the midfield, For sure.

They're now through to the Semifinals.

I really don't see where people are getting this "lyon are unlucky" attitude from. They hardly had one decent shot on dida's goal all game, even their 1 goal they scored was a scrambled mess.

If they can't take advantage of one of the poorest Milan performances in a long time, then they don't deserve to be going through. I'm certain Milan will raise their game for Barca and it promises to be a cracking match (one which should be the final).

Imo this current Milan side is one that is coming to the end of an era - in 5 years time we'll see a meetom poll with "ancelotti's milan" as on of the options. I look forward to the summer transfers to see a few new faces join ranks at Milan, and for them to continue to be one of the best in Europe.

Long Live Milan.

Let's see. Wiltord's effort after Dida fuck up. Malouda's effort after ball falls to him. Fred's header off post. Dida had to make 2 good saves on Juninho. Cris had a free header and I think Cacapa might have had one too.

Lyon were doing good creating chances, but just lack of good finishing and a bit unlucky to not win.

Well, he is quite lucky on many of his goals. Don't see a lot of pretty Inzaghi goals...

Good to see him get off on some quality crack though.

(note to AC Milan. go spend some money in summer)

Inzaghi scored 2 goals and Scheva one. Really impressive even though Milans play wasn't the best.

Are you on crack? That was a horrid Milan performance, except for few flashes where Milan was on attack. (And last 10 mins)

Posted by Chang monkey on Apr-04-2006 22:33:

milan were outplayed for the majority of the match, lyon were unlucky, i hate to say this but milan will be whipped by barca

I will have to agree with EvilTree on this one. Milan were outplayed and it was lucky for them to win.

Posted by fastmp3 on Apr-05-2006 02:18:

Barca won't outplay Milan, it's gonna be a crazy game tho

Posted by InterMilan31 on Apr-05-2006 04:33:

I of course after seeing Inter play shitty for 55 min tuned into this. I saw the highlights from the first half Lyon definitly took it to Milan. I think some of this outplaying is still the bias on Lyon taking them as a non-powerhouse....this is a big french team and quite a stacked one: ex midfield & strikers (Fred & Diarra & Malouda are next for greatness skip Juninho he is already there)

Milan though in typical Milan fashion won it at the end fuckin Pippo does it again Sheva if you sell him to Chelsea its a mistake huge mistake.

Posted by Yohan on Apr-05-2006 04:45:

I really think Diarra is going to go to England in the summer. He's been awesome for Lyon last few years.

Juninho took a little to get in the game, but once he got in the game, he gave Milan a lot of trouble.

I just love the way Lyon play. A lot like Arse at its best with some fluid attacking football with pace.

Posted by fastmp3 on Apr-05-2006 04:56:

we are not selling Sheva, i repeat : we are not selling Sheva.

thank you

They a need a striker, international class please.

Milan were no doubt being outplayed for the majority of the match and yes Milan had a terrible defense and yes Lyon did create a fair few chances to put away the italian giants. But at the end of the day it was Milan who made those opportunities count and thats all that matters. Lets hope Milan can play well against Barca in 2 weeks time. (By the way the 2nd goal was really Kaka's wasn't it? I thought I saw Kaka tap it in?!)

Forza Rossonere!
