KICK!

I bought Lexicon 4 - Reach Me, but NOT the ID&T release. It was a release who was pressed by themselfs as promo to send to several labels. I added it to Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/release/644996

Later this track was signed to ID&T and they made their copies.

The mail adres on the record ([email protected]) doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone knows more about this record?

It also says: Made in Belgium by Disco-Press. Disco-Press isn't a label. I think it's a company for producers who can make their own vinyls to send out to labels (in the time before using CDR's & MP3's). Can anyone tell me more about this too?

You can contact [email protected] about it. I also did, but not with any succes.

Maybe this one will released later, but I don't think so because of being a bootleg

rarest up till now;
nosferatu - enemy of the state [gangsta audiovisuals]http://www.discogs.com/release/20653

You say you are only looking for trance. So you can delete this one cause this is 100% hardcore sounds.

Fictivision vs. C-quence - Symbols (In Trance We Trust)

Isn't that rare at all so I guess you can delete that one also. And this one:

http://www.discogs.com/release/149545

there are 2 for sale for only 8 euro. So not rare at all. Hope you can change this. But very cool account. Got also some of the records who are on it

you're right on what you say. nosferatu isnt trance. but its EDM. i added it because that record has the most signifcant/eye-cartching statistics (with respect to 'wants') i've ever seen here. therefore its in, just because its prolly the most wanted record on discogs. (okay, the BOC (Boards of Canada) has some rarities too, but i just added this 1). there's also a thread kinda similar to this 1 going on on the discogs forums.

about the other 2 records ... the thread says sought after. so its not only about the number of wants, but also on what people want, and cant grab very easily (or for a decent price). those two (c-quence plus holden&thompson) usually end up with high prices on ebay. their for sale usually a couple of times per month. but because of the high ending prices (on ebay), and their number of wants on discogs, and the fact that the tracks are very known in the trance scene, and everybody wnats them, and because their still played, and not so easy to buy as 'Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes', i added them too. i hope my arguments are understandable. but its hard to define whats and whats not wanted/sought after. its not very objective. and the discogs stats dont tell a whole story too ....

if your still confused, feel free to reply again. after all, this discussion is in its right place here in this thread, thats where its for ..
cheers,
huub

http://www.discogs.com/release/63210
http://www.discogs.com/release/17264

these are even more rare than nosferatu's enemy of the states

and i think other hardcore vinyls are more sought after, depends on wants on discogs.

Posted by djtroa on Mar-19-2006 23:17:

Nostrum- Brilliant I paid 80 bucks for that record.

Posted by Drazzic on Mar-19-2006 23:22:

I just wanted to name them.. those are very rare but it's not trance music. If you want to make a list of trance records who are rare then you have to delete the Nosferatu one for sure.

Cause if you add the Nosferatu one, I have to ask why not Drop It or the Young Birds one (http://cgi.ebay.nl/young-birds-bzrk...1QQcmdZViewItem)

so I think it's better to only keep the trance records in it. About C-quence & Nothing. Those aren't hard to find at all. At discogs there are already 2 pieces of Nothing for sale.. for only 8 euro.. so that's not much! And Symbols is a lot on ebay as you said and normally it doesn't end higher than 10 euro's. So I think that's not really special..

you're right, they have more wants. *ADDED*

dont know it, but it has been added .. because of the stats, not because you paid 80 bucks (quite a high price :P)

i agree 100% ... those hardstyle/gabber/hardcore tracks shouldnt be in ... but it just gives you the goosebumps when you see the stats. thats why i leave it in. and this thread is also on 'sought after', which doesnt directly implies rare(ness) or rarity ....

Amazingly, this was never added to the list:

Head Honcho - Waters of Jericho [Good Boy Records]

By the way, if you're going to start adding any EDM/techno records to the list, you're going to make this ridiculously long. Have you even seen any of the Discogs.com entries for the label Retroactive? Old Detroit techno records are some of the most wanted electronic music records ever released. Look around Discogs at that label and related ones, it's pretty crazy.

Waxhead, do yo know more about that Lexicon 4 - Reach Me release where I post about on the previous page?

I have no idea about that Lexicon 4 promo. I never really liked the version PvD played on Politics of Dancing, so I never bothered to look for it. Sounds pretty cool though, congrats on finding it

I'm impressed you have two different releases of that track, given how rare it is. If you ever decide to part w/ one of those 12"s, I'd be willing to work out a trade.

Posted by DaanMc on Mar-20-2006 20:09:

Okay, thanks.

I had 3rd copy of it But I sold that one about six months ago..

Did PvD played the original mix? I thought he spun his own remix of that track (without the vocals)

Unfortunately that email adres doesn't exists anymore

You've got me, I have no idea. I'm sure lots of other ppl on TA know the answer though.

heard something about the label yes. and you're right when the list goes off-trance/adding more genre's ... anyway, thnx for the submission of head honcho. its been added. its great to see that even after so many replies, and after this thread being 'dead' for a while, people are still coming and suggesting. wonderful. thnx y'all!

@waxHEAD; i've the track you requested in the for sale section, Sauna - Mirage. also those wave dub records, and some Nu NRG records (with remixes of Nu NRG on them), like Kamara - Ave Mea Italia

Posted by keithos27 on Mar-20-2006 23:04:

^you have wave dub?

Posted by keithos27 on Mar-20-2006 23:04:

or you added them to the "rare" list?

keith, do you maybe more about that Lexicon 4 promo?

Yeah that's why I think it's much better to make 1 for each style. So maybe one for the hardcore/gabber scene. 1 for the trance scene.
But not all in one. Or else you can also add this one:

http://www.discogs.com/release/325239

Really a rare vinyl!

But I think it's better to stick just to trance music!
