Lately i have been wondering what music BT has been playing in his laptop or dj sets. mainly how would you describe his sound. just curious as i have listen to his great production, but not LIVE performance.

Posted by Dean Millson on Sep-29-2005 13:10:

Pretty much everything i believe!

Hi set at TT was a lot of his old stuff, with some interesting remixes and a few other productions thrown in. I saw hm in Miami as he closed out Ultra Fest this year and he played lotsa old-skoool-nu-skool breaks (which admittedly wasn't all i had hoped it would be). The great thing about Mr Transeau is that he thrives on the big room stuff imo i'm sure he'll bring the good stuff to GK next week

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Sep-30-2005 00:18:

oh i have no doubt BT will go nuts along with Above & Beyond and Gabriel & Dresden the main room is going to go nuts.

Posted by tachyon on Sep-30-2005 00:36:

so we'll have heaps of nuts to go around!!

Posted by vitamin v on Sep-30-2005 00:38:

... but only one suction ball.

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Sep-30-2005 00:44:

maybe too many nuts

As long as there is no power failure this year, i'll be happy although i didn't mind that freehand piano playing while he waited for the laptop to bootup again...

LOL i had just put my foot on the step to walk up onto stage to take some photos from behind him when the power went out... for a split second i thought i'd kicked out a cord and it was my fault. I nearly died!

That was some beautiful improvization while his laptop rebooted though.

"I'm playing some shit in b-flat 'cos i'm about to play Godspeed!"

*crowd goes mental*

Lol. I would have shat myself too. I still listen to that set now and then cause Nova100.3 decided they would be ko0l for a while and broadcasted all of the Hybrid set and the BT set (so i recorded it ), so i always fast forward to the piano playing bit before listening to the set in its entirity. Cant wait to see him at GK2005 - So Pumped!

Holy shit you guys/girls are in for a treat.

Last night Gabriel & Dresden went ahead and ripped Brisbane a new one
Never seen anything like it...just-fucking-wow

Might I add BT was also incredible...the atmosphere his set created..

Ah thanks mate, much appreciated. 1 week to go, cant wait!

Posted by Joax on Oct-01-2005 08:07:

Ah yeah, only 7 days... this time next week I will be in total GK mode!

I love BT's set - his piano playing is amazing, this remixed nirvana smells like teen spirit would have gone nuts, as would have godspeed.

Hybrid have been playing some great sets recently so I am eagerly awaiting to see them although I doubt they will get the crowd they deserve as I am sure they will clash with something else in the main room.

Last year GK opened at 12 and the line was massive from the start. Is GK starting earlier this year? I hope so, I will be definately getting there half an hour early to get in when Steve is playing.

Posted by alex_cooke on Oct-01-2005 08:59:

My ticket says it starts at 11:30, but hopefully the doors open earlier than that. I'm planning to get there about 10:30-11.

7 Days to go and i'm SO pumped!!!

can't wait for this! seems like only last weekend i saw the first lineup poster at danny howells.

you really should start asking yourself the question 'is electronic music scene the right choice for me?' .. if you are not even planning on going.

ok i exaggerated a bit there. but you see my point.
