How good is your rhythm? It's a good indication as to your mix ability.

When I was at school I was the resident drummer, so I find it easy to pick up a beat.

Harmonics 23/25 Totally fine but safe beat only mixing was evident.
Tracks 22/25 Fine but a little too samey same for me.

Beats 22/25 Rescued after a bad start.
Harmonics 22/25 Mix 1-2 was well out and gave it a bad start.
Tracks 22/25 Samey same again. Good starter though.

Comments during listening:

Loved the opening track

1-2: Very nice and smooth transition. Didn't hear any beatmatching mistakes. Would have liked it better if you brought in the 2nd track sooner.
2-3: Near flawless beatmatching. I thought base was a bit too loud compared with first 2 tracks. Liked the faster transition more (compared to 1-2)
3-4: Awesome transition! Dunno if the vocal track belongs here.
4-5: Transition was good

Overal a good mix. Beatmatching was near flawless, maybe only minor adjustments in some parts. No major mistakes at all.
I liked the first 3 tracks but i thought that the vocal track didnt fit. Lots of energy in the first 3 but it cooled off too much in 4 and 5. I think if you

simply reverse the order of the tracks it would be awesome (- marks for play order) I also thought that EQ for base should have been adjusted for track #3

Beautiful Things, nice! Altho i dunno if its a good opening track. I prefer it more as a mid-mix chillout track.

1-2: Beatmatching was a bit off, especially around 7:43. Also i thought that 2nd track was brought in a bit too early.
2-3: A lot Better transition than previous. Nice flow from one song to next.
3-4: Harmonics was good, but beatmatching again was a bit off (especialy 19:10-19:15 could almost hear double beats)
4-5: Perfect transition! Everything should be like this
5-6: Transition almost as good as Previous. Altho i think you should have faded out track 5 before 33:30

I dont know if its a techical thing but to me it seemed that overall volume was really low (or maybe its just base really low)
Overal I liked the mix. You used some nice tracks for a great mood. However, you need to work more on your transitions. 1 transition was perfect, one was

almost and others clearly needed improvement.
Also, even though Andain-Beautiful Things is one of my fav tracks i thought it didnt fit with the other 5 in this mix, but thats not a biggie.

I am free untill 24th when i have to start judging the non-live competition.

Here's an idea....

If you submit a challenge on lets say - the 10th, the finishing date for that comp IS the 17th. If the challenged party does NOT respond, and has NOT said he/she will be away, then they lose to point to the other chappy.

Lets say they say YES to the challenge on the 12th... they have until the 17th!!! to submit a mix! How does that sound?

And also, if they ACCEPT a challenge and FAIL to upload, how's about we deduct a point from them?

This will...

A. move comps through quicker..
B. fight this Auto-win thing going on (i'm 3rd and aint submitted a winner yet!)

Another idea is to also have an area set aside on the first page to show when you ARE and ARE NOT currently available? Name as it is means your available - red you are not!!!! + 3 failiures to upload after accepting results in a 5 point deduction.

BASICALLY, if your in it - DO IT! If you aint gonna do it - LEAVE IT!
