for morocco it looks like shit, we have the shittiest coach ever, the moroccan league has been shit for the past few years, but we have some hope in a few young players (mainly chamackh, the bordeaux striker).

tunisia renewed lemerre's contract till 2008, but their players are old as fuck. they have an advantage over us : their local league is totally professional unlike ours which is only semi-pro.

I saw what Tunisia was doing in the World Cup, and how they qualified. I suspected that they had a very old team and you confirmed it Fast. ACN is being played at the same year as the WC, hopefully it'll become a lot more professional so the players doesn't need to fake injuries (Essien and others). Europeans are fucking up that tournament though.

Buffon stays at Juventus according to his agent, but Cannavaro and Emerson is very close to Real Madrid now.

Predrag Mijatovic was in Torino earlier today to get Canna and Emerson.

Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson is leaving Juventus and it seems to be official now according to Gazzetta and Real Madrid's website. Juventus hasn't said anything about it though.

Posted by zoric on Jul-20-2006 00:28:

This doesn't look very good for Juventus, but at least we seem to get Buffon with us..

Posted by fastmp3 on Jul-20-2006 00:40:

do you seriously think they were going to stay there ?

Posted by A_M_8 on Jul-20-2006 05:26:

I had a feeling del piero would stay to avoid going to a smaller league club (10 bucks on him going to tottenham otherwise), nedved is nearing retirement and the prospect of getting juventus back into serie A would be the cherry on the top of his career.

Buffon on the other hand caught me by surprise. His was the transfer I was most anticipating.

Out of all the rest though, it seems Zambrotta is the most sought after.

Posted by zoric on Jul-20-2006 09:34:

Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson are officially Real Madrid players now. They're 32 and 30 years old, so there was a chance they could've stayed in Juventus, Cannavaro at least, wasn't expecting anything from Emerson.

Sadly they've left Bianconeri now, and they did that without Gianluca Zambrotta who wanted to play in the same club as the other two. Zambrotta looks more and more like he's going to play for Barcelona together with Lillian Thuram. The price says around 20 million and Txiki has already been in Torino, before anyone else to get this deal done.

I would expect that it would be done today or tomorrow.

Alessandro Del Piero will most likely stay, together with Gianluigi Buffon and Pavel Nedved who's said that he will retire if Juventus goes to Serie B even though he's got 2 years left on the contract with Bianconeri.

They've been saying it since 1990, yet 16 years later the only thing african teams achieved was 2 olympic tournaments, they should have least reached the semis of a world cup by now. I know the cup being played in Africa is a boost, but honestly South Africa right now is crap as a team and the bias is usually for the hosts, not necessarily for the continent of the hosts.

about transfers:

- Manuel Fernandes (Benfica) to Portsmouth for 8.5 million euros (that's what they paid for the 50% of the player Benfica owned). Fantastic deal for Benfica since the player has been injured for a while and there are some doubts over his health.

If Buffon staying at Juventus is confirmed I'm very surprised.. the best goalkeeper in the world staying at Serie B for 2 years, go figure.

I bet Juventus will do everything to win the italian cup this season, so they can go to UEFA Cup at least.

One year, It's going to be one year no matter if we're down with 30 points to start with

Chelsea are pure idiots, they're trying to sign Kak for something like 90 million . I would've accepted it right of way and started building a Milan that is capable of winning the league and something for the upcoming seasons.

Idiots.

lol 90 million? Kaka would be worth 30 million pounds max. Especially to an England club because few south americans have performed well in the EPL.

Posted by zoric on Jul-20-2006 17:54:

That's a lot of money to.

They're not worth this at all, no one is.

Barcelonas website says that the club has signed Gianluca Zambrotta and Lillian Thuram from Juventus. Zamboy has agreed on a contract with Barcelona for 4 years, and Thuram will be leaving Juventus for a 2 year contract with the Catalan club.

They will join the team who's going on tour in Mexico and USA.

Thanks to both for their years at Juventus, and good luck at Barcelona.

Looks like Newcastle could sign Duff in the next few days. We have apparently outbid Spurs (about 10M) and are now free to talk to the player. Watch this space...
