I agree with whatever decisions whoever decides to make. I will walk further than most to eat some good food (especially meat). After party is an after thought because I usually have to nap after a hefty dinner. But hey... I like where this thread is going, it will be fun to FINALLY meet some of you outside the 'smile N nod' environment!!!!

honestly, im thinking ZAM or even mcadam. look, i know its a bit far away (missisauga) but them places will be able to host all of us easily. if you can get enough people at your place im sure some of us drivers could come and pick y'all up. digi, if this is not ok let me know asap. places to eat cevapi are not that many in gta.

...but in reality, this 2003 sedan has been gently driven by an white-knuckled old lady, who rarely drove it in winter, and only put on 47k over 5 years. $7500 for a mint car like this (and power everything, loaded) for winters sounded good. McAdam is a brutal location for the TTCers, and not that great for drivers. I don't really know anything about Zam, but being almost straight off the 427, I guess it's an OK drive, and not too far from Kipling station, so that would be a better choice.

Rixo really looks like the best location, but if there's no capacity, there's no capacity. We want to be able to sit down.

Let's put it this way: who here is willing to haul out to Kipling station if they don't have a car or a close ride?

I just spoke to owner of Rixo. Their capacity is 20 and they can strech it up to 25 with extra chairs. He is OK with couple of days notice if we want to make a reservation.

I wouldn't mind, and I live all the way beyond the other end of the line. As long as I'd have a way to get back to the Kipling station in time to get home before the subway closes down, it's fine with me... we could share rides with other people I guess... that is, unless I decide to joing the after-party

Thanks for the update. I have a strong feeling we won't actually get more than 25 when all is said and done... however, I guess it can't hurt to find out how able people are to get to one of the Etobicoke joints (most likely that Zam, or Royal Meats).

Let's hear it, folks: are there any confirmed guests who CAN'T make it to either Rixo (O'Connor & Pape, just south of the DVP) or Zam (Kipling/Queensway)? Anybody who's coming from the north or east that would need a ride? Anybody who could make it, but not until really late (like after 8)?
