but chilling on the grass was ok.

also, your subway is insanely hot and dirty

I love the fact that clueless, ignorant, undecided votes all get to make their feelings known in real time during each debate on almost every network, and then afterwards in Q&A sessions with equally retarded reporters.

Dude I've been praying for that to happen every night just for the comedic value it would have.

On national TV.

"Listen you cracker ass cracka"

I always enjoy flipping channels during those and noticing contrasts between major us chains (CNN/FOX/CBS) and international news coverage.

For one, it makes the big US chains sound like a bunch of bickering children.

that's what they are though. as jon stewart said, "the 24 hour news, they have 15 minutes of news to report and what do they do after that? 23 hours, 45 minutes of speculations and bullshit!"

It's the tradeoff of having the convenience of a subway system that runs 24/7

Posted by whiskers on Oct-16-2008 03:23:

also, we got kicked out of the line at Cielo because the bouncers kept trying to sell their 'bottle service' and we were having none of it.

i agree, 24/7 is a major convenience. especially when the last "1am" train in boston leaves at 12:40

but then again, moscow could probably do 24/7. and the stations are beautiful and not hot and do not have rats crawling around, even though there are signs everywhere saying "caution! rat pesticide". i think nyc rats are onto something.

Posted by whiskers on Oct-16-2008 03:28:

i have to admit, i just went to youtube to listen to a sarah palin speech to hear her speak for the first time.

and she sounds kind of fake.

o man. this girl was leaning on the wall and went into the subway.. all of a sudden she flicked a roach off her arm.

She did it sooo nonchalantly. i would have screamed my head off.

Well, if it weren't for the usual low expectations of the media, can anyone believe that bullshit line that Rick Davis (McCain campaign chair) gave Wolf Blitzer about the bailout bill and how Democrats added the $140B in pork to the original $700B. The original House Bill was shot down, 60% Dems in favor, 33% Republicans in favor. All the pork was added for archery companies, NASCAR, rum imports, etc. (all huge Democratic platforms, lol), JUST SO REPUBLICANS COULD VOTE FOR THE BAILOUT.

And Blitzer let that asshole get away with it. Fuck....

Posted by RJT on Oct-16-2008 03:33:

Man, whatever happened to guys like Ed Bradley?

That fellow had some balls. He'd eat Blitzer for lunch.

Posted by RJT on Oct-16-2008 03:36:

Also, Olberman is doing postgame on MSNBC right now.

Pretty money. All about Joe.

As a journalist, you can't call someone out, otherwise you're a partisan hack. If you point out lies, you're favoring the person you're not calling a liar. It's rather unfortunate, because they all have free license to lie and not get called on it. I don't work in journalism or politics and when I'm sitting at home during interviews and beating my head against a wall when hear blatant fucking lies, it's repulsive.

The worst part is that most people aren't as informed, which is why the media should be highlighting the lies & mistruths from both sides. It's one thing to fact-check, but there should be immediate corrections in cases of interviews. These people are paid enough that they should be that knowledgeable to hit their guests on the fly when they're pulling things out of their asses.

How come you are waiting for an absentee ballot? Why don't you vote in NY if you live here?
